Will be nice to have a screw blower option and not just a roots that’s comparable to the 2650. A Hellcat 6.2 can make 9-950 easily with stock heads/cam with its little 2.4 screw blower when ported. 3.0 Whipple is picking guys up 2-300hp over their factory IHI blower. In the Hellcat world the Whipple and IHI factory screw blower is all you mainly see. Whipple was definitely late to the party for their second go around with GenV.

![]() ![]() Yeah the 3.0 has proven to be very solid on the Coyote and Hellcat platform. So I am sure it should be solid on the 6th gen. Whipple just waited too long and I think they lost some credibility with the 2.9 because everybody expected the 2.9 to be better then the 2300 when really they are pretty close.

Porting these blowers doesn't always help, some have tried on it on another brand and seen no measurable gains worth the time to pull it off, ship it and pay the cost to have it done. Probably should wait to see some results. I'm guessing it's going to be in the 8k to just buy one and I'd bet Whipple has done a lot up front to make the most power they can.

It’s really a shame Kenny bell has no interest in direct injection gm. After I made 1450whp on a gen 2 Ctsv at 25 psi with a Kenny bell I saw how good screws can really be vrs a lobe. Seems a lot more potential in a screw when it’s in a big enough case that it won’t get too hot as not enough cooling support.

When I had my 2.9 we tried changing the pulley's to something more aggressive above 18k RPM (would need to look back to find exact pulley's) and it picked up barely any HP but a reasonable amount of torque. I agree though, would love to see this 3.0 knock it out of the park. Competition is always good for everyone.

This sounds interesting and love the fact that it will fit with no mods. The one part I read though is that whipple will not calibrate it if you have any other mods to the car, needs to be stock? Why would they do that? Who leaves their car stock especially if they throwing a blower on it.

I think the new 3.0 is a roots blower. I could be wrong but that's what I remember on the 3.0 Coyote.

Whipple doesn't manufacturer roots blowers. They are all twin screw.

I could have sworn that their latest rotor assembly was Roots and similar to Magnuson Roost rotor pack. Guess I was wrong but geez that was the first time today. Haha, still have 3.5 more hours to prove myself wrong again.
