Its probably the nannies... ...be careful as you adjust settings. A couple years ago at Pitt Race, a Corvette driver kept complaining about the nannies interfering at the kink. He turned everything off, them promptly went off the track at the same spot the next time out. I still regret keeping my mouth shut because as he was talking about shutting them off as I kept thinking its interfering for a reason.

If you were just in track mode, with no ptm mode selected, it is 100% torque management pulling the cord on you. If you have a PDR on your car, enable it during the run and review the video. I guarantee there is an ESC active symbol flashing when the concern is present. A ZLE car can be a bit much to handle if you don’t have a lot of track time under your belt. If that’s the case, don’t go all off with the esc system. Try PTM sport 1 first and work your way up. Even PTM race mode allows some oversteer so tread lightly.

Thx guys I will review the PDR and look for that ESC active symbol. When I reviewed one video to make sure the PDR was recording I could see the ESC symbol a lot.

What you are describing sounds like traction control/ stability control kicking in. Just putting the ZLE in track mode is pretty invasive especially when putting down power coming out of corners. If you watch the PDR video, and you did track overlay, it will show the traction control icon blinking as it is engaging. It does not necessarily mean the car was sliding, or that the wheels were spinning, I believe it is more based on yaw rate or throttle position vs. steering angle vs. speed. It is more of a prevention of oversteer than a correction of oversteer approach by the car. Once in Track mode, you can tap the traction control button once or twice and it will bring up the PTM modes on the display screen. The default is wet mode which is allowing only minimal throttle when there is steering input. Each mode you bump up will be less restrictive.
If there were a mechanical issue with the car, most likely it would be throwing a code and going into limp mode. |

Again thx for all the responses. This was the only track and particular section it occurred thus why I reached out to see if others had experienced a sudden chop. This car has been a dream for me at the track and a monster for the others lol.

Come out of that corner at lower rpm and then the tc won't cut power on you. If you have an A10, manually paddle down to a lower gear. We have lots of torque....use it. coming out of tight corners in ptm race will still cut power and if you have worn rear tires, it makes it even worse.

this happened to me and i tried to explain to the instructor i was getting on throttle when he said to, but the car wasn't allowing it. we worked our way up the PTM list and finally i turned it off to prove my point... we were sideways and he was telling me "nice save" the first time we tried it lol
apparently you can't stab these while you're still turning like ya can a miata

Once you get a feel for it and know where the apex is, you'll be surprised how well the PTM works in Race mode allowing you to go full throttle while the diff controls oversteer as you launch hard out of turns. It's a feature that gives ZL1s an edge on track vs many other great sports cars that lack a similar e-diff or torque vectoring. But IMO you have to use Race mode to really get the advantage, below that PTM cuts power too much.

**UPDATE**
Firstly thank you all for your responses. After reviewing Pdr the ESC indicator was basically flashing all the time at this track in both sport and track mode with no competitive modes enabled. I could see the one particular section the car was cutting throttle to save my bacon for sure the ESC was lit up and you could see the throttle chop. Next outing at this track I will just be smoother in that section, I’m going to get more seat time before I turn on competitive modes due to the amount of ESC I’m seeing I obviously need to smooth out my driving. These cars are absolute monsters on this track.
