Other than HP, here are the advantages of the C8 hardtop convertible. 1. No loss of storage space when the top is down. Full use of the trunk and frunk. 2. No wrinkles or marks on the top from going up or down 3. No specials cleaners or canvas waterproofing compounds to apply periodically 4. Rear window doesn’t flap in the wind when driving with the windows down 5. Interior noise same as the coupe when the top is up 6. Rear window can be opened when the top is up

As for A10 vs DCT/PDK I have the same argument. I haven’t driven Chevys version of the DCT yet, but a ton of BMW and Porsche ones. Those still feel better to me and a lot of others, especially with metal paddle shifters vs Chevys plastic ones. The engagement just seems to be much more well engaging even though on paper the shift times between all of them are imperceptible. I’ve read that the A10 has problems with skipping multiple gears when downshifting as well, I haven’t experienced that but have read it happening from multiple sources. So for street I don’t think his and others similar opinions are nonsense, for track the track maybe. Once the Z06 comes out all of this will be mute as it will be the clear winner but unfortunately unobtainable for most. |

It's important to consider actual measured power on a dyno vs difference in claimed numbers.
The C8 is making about 450 rwhp, which is ok, but not very impressive in 2022 The ZL1 is producing about 560 rwhp on average, and it's much easier to mod to get to 700 (with an upgraded oil pump to replace the crap stocker) I don't like getting smacked around by annoying dweeb punks in their M3s - that's going to happen if you drive a C8 |

I had a 2011 Camaro 2SS that was whippled and dynoed at 635 rwhp.
Traded it in in 2014 when the Corvette Stingrays came back, then I traded up to the Corvette Z06 in 2015 and then the Z07 in 2016 before getting the 2020 mid engine Corvette. Went back to the 2022 Camaro ZL1 and love it! a lot has changed but I feel the new ZL1 compares more to the Z06 in performance than the mid engine Corvette.

The answer is No Motor was built by CBI Street cars tuned by DSX Tuning Had Kooks LT headers with HF Cats GM Performance axle back mufflers 3800 stall convertor and ran 10.9's It was loud and fast but didn't handle worth crap! Anything above 140 was SCARY!

So, getting back on track, it's reviews like this that make me scratch my head.
Road Atlanta fast guy sells his GT3 for a C8, initially hates the car, then dumps $5,000 into the suspension just to get it to handle well. |

Current C8 is for the older crowd with tupes and Velcro shoes like Brandon. Oh and chicks.

That's really not true at all, that's a VERY outdated stereotype. Every vehicle has some older buyers, Corvette is no different. The C8 has attracted a LARGE population of younger buyers. In fact, most of the C8's I've seen are owned by drivers under 50 years old. The C8 design team took a lot of risks with the exterior design in hopes of attracting more young buyers, and it worked. I had one, 46 years old, no tupe, no velcro shoes or white New Balance as the stereotype goes.
