I do it myself, $113 for Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP, and AC delco oil filter.

Haven't received my Camaro yet. But I have priced Oil Changes at $70 Canadian (around $55USD) if I do them myself.

At least in Canada, most people are reporting CAN$25 for a quart of Mobil1 ESP 0W-40 from dealers, so it doesn't surprise me.

Thank goodness for Rock Auto. Their price for Mobil1 ESP 0W-40 is far more reasonable even with shipping. I just did my own oil change before putting it away for winter storage. Very easy to do; it's as basic as an oil change can go, IMO. It's actually easier than my winter car Mazda3 because 1st Gen Mazda3 has an underbody cover you need to remove (mine is missing, LOL), and the oil filter is a cartridge style unit, so you gotta replace the o-rings on the housing. Parts cost me around CAN$120-ish for the Camaro.

Regarding what type of oil you need, if you never hit the track then Dexos1 Gen 2 5W-30 is fine. A lot easier to find and cheaper to buy. I do track days, so I run Dexos2 0W-40.

Make sure you are getting the right oil, the current recommended oil is:

Mobil1 0W-40 ESP Formula (NOT 0W-40 European Formula)... If you are getting a screaming deal on an oil change you are very likely NOT getting the correct oil...

Doing a PROPER oil change by yourself is likely going to be roughly $100 USD, having someone (reputable) do it for you, you are probably looking at $150 USD (if they are using the correct oil and NOT gouging you)...

"Know before you go"...

If you’re not Tracking the car you can use 5W-30 as well. The only reason for the change to 0W-40 was owners of Corvettes and Camaros complaining about having to switch oils for track use and street driving. If you own a newer SS and you’re not tracking it you can use the 5W-30. The information below is out of the 2020 owners manual.

Viscosity Grade
Use SAE 0W-40 viscosity grade engine oil.
When selecting an oil of the appropriate viscosity grade, it is recommended to select an oil of the correct specification. See “Specification” earlier in this section.
If 0W-40 dexos2 oil is not available, SAE 5W-30 dexos1 full synthetic engine oil may be used for street use.

I bought my car from one of the top 10 Corvette sales dealers in the country. They do all my maintenance of 10 qts and the recommended Dexos oil. I change it every 25-3k miles. Currently at over 50k miles.

50 bucks is reasonable. It is an easy car to do oil and filter change .
