I would investigate carefully before dropping the headliner. My understanding is it is not that easy to reinstall perfectly. That front edge is trouble. This is just based on posts I have seen here. I have not gone down this road myself.

With the right set of tires, it's reasonably quiet inside, imo. Also, I wouldn't be too keen on adding more weight to the car, especially so high up. Kinda counter productive to the cars intended purpose.

Don't think you can add the weight of dynamat to what a sunroof weighs in these cars. Tires do make a huge difference in NVH.

Anything you add is more than you have.

Geeze, if this car is noisy, then what is my Duramax?

I took a 2019 1SS out for a spin and it was damn near silent in comparison lol

OP has a 2017 2SS.
Delete the sound tube and ditch the run-flats.

This is probably the best recommendation.

First thing I did after purchasing the car was remove the sound tube and install a Rotofab.

As for tires, I got rid of the factory run flats a couple of weeks ago when I put on a set of Continental DWS06+'s.

Right after that I added the sound deadening to the interior, trunk, and doors.

I figures while I was at it, I would add sound deadening to where ever I can.

Sounds like the roof it more trouble than its worth.

Why do you care so much? It's his car he can do whatever the **** he wants with it, mind your own damn business, if you've got nothing good to say, learn to be a good boy and say nothing.

I doubt that much sound comes from the roof, IIRC most of the interior sound comes from the wheelwells and windshield/wind noise, if you've already done the wells then I doubt there's much else to do, perhaps the transmission tunnel but you've got to be weary as it gets hot.

I'm telling him realistically nothing he does with sound deadening is going to make any real difference. He's already shoved that stuff in every crevice and is looking for a silver bullet that doesn't exist.

Maybe try being a normal human being and not rude for no rea... nevermind, the avatar already explained away the normal human being part. Carry on.

yes, how dare the OP try to make any part of this car better. gm certainly made the car perfect, as the sales reflect.
