Just a thought.
I put a Kicker 180 watt 10 inch amplified sub vertically behind the passenger seat and love it. A friend used two and put them in the corners of the trunk near the back seat. Adjustable with a remote knob and 10"×3.5"x14.5" overall dimensions don't take up much room.

I made a custom box for my 2014 that sat behind the rear seat and was only about 7"-8" deep. I took out the guts and made a new custom box for my 2020 convertible and swapped them into this box - dimensions have changed BUT the volume is the same. While my daily driver - it is just my wife and I in the car...so no concerns regarding excess space... lol
Here is what I did - and it works pretty good for me...it might give you some ideas...good luck! https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=589509

JL Audio sells Subs that flush mount to the side of the inside of the trunk, I think it's only one speaker though, and they're pricey, just throwing this out there

I have used a Stealthbox on a prior vehicle and they not only fit perfectly but are built somewhat tuned to the vehicle thus making them sound so good. They won’t pound like 2 12’s in a massive box but hit pretty hard and very clean. I will have one installed early spring this year for sure.

I had a custom box for 2 Kicker CompQ 10s in my 19 RS. When I traded the RS in for the LT1, I took the box and amps out to put into the LT1. However, the trunk was about 1/3 of the size after the subs were installed. Ill probably put the CompQs in my Duramax and convert the box in the Camaro for Solobariks.
