Just in case you needed a visual… https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480132

Aligning the hood scoop at the front corner is a bit of a PIA…mine was rubbing on one side (from the factory) and with a little work and three tries, without full disassembly got it perfect.

Thanks again for the input. Again I appreciate your experience.

For LT1 engines all the PBC plaques I've seen reported are with manuals; the LT4s have them with both transmissions.

I also have that console cover, though in my case I transferred it over from my 2SS I traded in. Goes well with all the red stitching, and I also got the red kneepads and seatbelts.

I don't think I posted my engine plaque, I just didn't understand why you would think it was rare for an A10 to have one.

Nothing worse than top of the blower slathered in oil blowby (and coating your intake valves).

I’m pretty sure since he bought a brand damn new ZL1 that he isn’t thinking about adding a catch can at this point in time risking killing his new car warranty.

I added a catch can to mine immediately after purchase. With DI engines you don't have the luxury of fuel cleaning the valves so it was important to me to minimize oil deposits ASAP.

Just take it off if you have to take it to the dealer...

Fuel deposits are not what build up on the back of the valve oil is. Fuel is what cleans the oil off the valve from blow by through the PCV system on a Port Injection engine. DI has no fuel entering the Intake ports so oil accumulates and cakes on the valves over time. Supercharged cars produce more blow by then NA. So I would recommend a catch can regardless of what GM suggests. They are no longer interested in building engines to last 200k miles hence why they reduced the power train warranty along with other OEM's. They want people to buy cars more often.

Even the lawyer on here who had one couldn't win that one.

I totally agree.

At the same time I realize the risks of voiding the warranty albeit, however misplaced, & frankly retarded they may be (voiding warranty for them I mean) So I’ve been doing some thinking on an evacuation system that’s less intrusive, easier to install & thusly more easily removed.

Having a new engine has given me motivation to further explore the concept.

I’ll see what I can come up with using off the shelf components.

I'll be curious to see what you come up with if you share it!

A signature pic update is in order! Congrats!
