Love the wild cherry. Congrats on the new ZL1. To get into a 2 year newer car for a little over $5k is a great deal.

That's amazing considering they're not even on the Chevy website yet and have no pricing or specs. Maybe it has more hp and they haven't announced it yet.

Why would you think that? My 2021 A10 has an engine build plaque.

I must have missed it in the builder thread.

Get a catch can installed ASAP (preferably Elite)

Nothing worse than top of the blower slathered in oil blowby (and coating your intake valves).

Sleep better at night.

So I guess all of us that have 2022’s with production dates of 08/16 must have higher HP cars

Lots of them in the plaque thread, including my Wild Cherry '21 A10. Seems like all the LT4s are built in the PBC right now, I'm guessing until they start building the new Z06 engines.

Paid a little more than that to get a little lower payment, but yeah, I’m pretty happy.

It did have a different armrest I hadn’t seen before. They said it just came in Friday. So they got it put on Saturday.

Unfortunately they couldn’t get the extractor off. They have some super sticky tape on the windshield side to the hood & the tech wasn’t a body guy. I even tried to get it off & it wouldn’t budge. They offered to have me make an appointment with the body shop in 2wks, but I wasn’t going to make a 6hr round trip for that. Wife said to just order a CF one & have it installed locally if I really want it.

Still getting used to the change. The metallic really sparkles in the sun.

Must have totally missed it. Lot of the talk last I read it was the M6 were mostly getting the hand-built.

I was pretty happy to see that. Salesman had never heard of it.

I can attest that the extractor does have some very strong tape towards the windshield. I swapped mine out with an exposed carbon one and thought i missed a bolt. With some muscle and a finishing tool i was able to get the old one off, just takes some time and patience.

I was really afraid of cracking a $1300 part intended to go on my old car.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll get one ordered & give it a try again myself.

Did the tape come off clean or was there remnants of it that required removal from the hood?

Thanks for the input.

The majority of the tape stayed attached to the extractor itself, and the place it was attached too required a little bit of cleanup but not much, like you said it is definitely some tough tape so don’t be affraid to give it a tug and use the plastic finishing tool to separate it. Don’t forget to remove all of the bolts, there are some hidden under little plastic coverings as well.

Cool.

Yeah, they had all the fasteners off under the caps. It was hanging down & the only thing holding it was the tape.

You should have seen the faces of the other customers in the showroom as we were tearing apart the hood on this brand new ZL1. I actually LOL’d a little.

Haha i could imagine! If i were doing it again i’d work both corners at the same time up top to get the adhesive moving.
