Real happy to see the before dyno test! Eliminates so many variables...

Transport = reliable. Perfect care of the car, enclosed and everything you see on Mecham. $5.00 more than everyone else. As for the cam, my own tinkering, as I have the LT2 intake, so pushing what a GM engineer might do. Told Mike I wanted it bullet proof, good torque and power, not chasing a number, rev quicker and pull out of high speed corners better. He looked at the cam and gave it a thumbs up.

Progress. I like how they take their time and do it like it's their car...

@Timbo-1LE

Nice build! How many miles were on your LT1 when they took it apart and what did you valves look like?

11k and they looked pretty clean at least in the intake side when I did the LT2 manifold. They did a complete head port and rebuild, but refinished stock valves, they have not mentioned any wear concerns upon teardown.

Wonder why they put the heads on in the car when they had the block out.

Competition valve job. No idea on second question, could be timing in shop, they spend a lot of time in the heads and valves.

Time.

Our bottle neck is the cylinder head department.

So the engine gets pulled out, torn down, cleaned, along with the front cover and oil pan resealed all on the stand. If the cylinder heads aren't ready at that point the engine will go back into the car and the heads will get bolted on after the fact.
