I got over 15,000 on my stock plug wires with headers that were Swaintech coated and they have no discoloration. This coating is not cheap but as an example the heat coming off the supercharger is hotter than the headers after you come to a stop.

The point is you can run stock plug wires in the right conditions with headers.

Funny, my brother has the Swaintech white lightening on his 1100 BHP Z06 headers and isn’t a fan. Had to do the wires too. Our infrared testing didn’t show it to be much better than my ceramic coating from a local coating shop either. Marks up really easy and developed some cracks (surface only) so he ended up Cerakoting over the top to clean it up.

What are you at power level wise? Wonder if that has any impact? Probably not, just looking for a reason.

I'm ~750whp on mustang dyno (aka over 800 on a 224x)

No cracks, stuff is thick/textured. Here is a plug wire between two primaries. They have about 20k miles on them with 15k mile having these headers.

Yeah, we’re both making more power than you but not enough to make a big difference. Guess it’s just luck of the draw I guess. But to be fair, most people don’t do the Swaintech. A lot of bare headers or cosmetic coating on this board so the OEM wires aren’t surviving IMO.

Yeah, I'm 230+ whp over stock on this dyno. I'm still on 93, stock LT4 fuel system (low side booster), and stock bottom end. Running 2300 with H/C/LT and other typical supporting mods. Where are you at with your bigger everything ?

I’m at 840 WHP Mustang Dyno...still on 93...still on LT4 fueling because I’m too lazy to install my LPE HPFP and injectors. 😂 I’ve got a custom triple pump (with bucket) in the works, so I’m dragging my feet as I figure I might as well tune for all the fuel mods at once. With E85 should be 1K to the wheels I’d guess (hope? Lol).

My brother is is 884 WHP Mustang Dyno on a 2300 Maggie on his Z06 with stock bottom end but I know he blended some non-ethanol gas in to stretch his fuel system for that Dyno run. I tell him that’s cheating to make myself feel better.

Actually used a bunch and they're all similar. Turbo Mike's Mustang, and Performance Dyno in NH, and my brother used Jannetty in CT too. Nobody uses Dynojet around here. Lol

Efficiency is key. My brother has a 112 snout and TB on his that really seemed to help. Whipple opening is 112 out of the box. But there are always differences dyno to dyno of course. Yours could be extra stingy, but where you're closer to sea level I'd be surprised?

i also vote granatelli. i had issues with the msd wires. they would not stay on the coil or the plug either one. imho they are one time use plug wires that aren't that good to start with.

after pricing another set of msd wires and boots i decided id rather pay a touch more and get granatellis. i should've done that to start with. quality product and worth every cent.

I'll have to hit up Jannetty at some point just for comparison. Thanks. I'm running 2300 w/103 snout and Katech 103mm
