Best spark plug wires?
So while changing my spark a few of the wires broke off. Apparently being to hot. Any how I purchased stock AC Delco ones just to get by. For reference the previous wires were Taylor wires.
So which are the best? 1. Factory AC Delco 2. Taylor wires 3. MSD wires 4. ? 5. ? For reference my car has ported SC, 103 TB, Big Gulp, Cam, and meth. What should I go with? |

I have the Granatelli wires on my ZLE. It is a dedicated track car.No problems and have been holding up very well with high heat. I would definitely recommend them. Next would be the factory AC Delco wires.

i had them installed and then about a month later i had my back driver side one pop off and threw a check engine light for misfire , the shop warned me that they have had issues with them on other lt1 models and they only sell granatelli ones but i bought them and brought them in to get installed with some heat boots also

Several folks have dyno'd and lost power with MSD's. Quite a few shops swear by them, not sure what's up. OEM wires are truly fine. I have a set from ZZP and I get the same or better MPGs, so I figure they aren't worse. They definitely look cooler.

Has anyone done a resistance test on these various manufacturers (AC Delco included) & a joules loss would be icing on the cake.

If you have headers (even ceramic coated), the OEM ones will simply not hold up. My OEM ones got nuked from the heat. The top of the line Granatelli ones are really nice. Nearly $300 is a lot for a set of spark plug wires, but so far they’re great. Super beefy too.
