Not for the faint of heart when you have to take the Dremel to bumper cap but as the guys at wildhammer told me there were marks inside the clip that showed where to cut. I sweated bullets... the rest was pretty easy.

I took out the wheel well covers and took the front wheels off as well that made it super easy to take all the bolts off with the added access. Takes a littler longer but pays off in the end. See the pics below.

I have a wing on order should be here next week. so that should compete the aeros
Wow Infamus, I did the same thing to my ZL1. I got all the parts from a local Chevy Dealership. It took me three days to complete the job all by myself. I to was worried about cutting into the bumper, but GM got the markings right.
A few pics of my project. I also had my hood wraped rear spoiler put on.

I have never seen or heard of a truly stock 6th gen SS run 11.8 or better up here (at Island Dragway where I typically go), even with drag radials, despite the great DA. The very best ETs were 12.0-12.1 at 115-116 mph, all of them automatic, maybe a 11.99 hero run, but that's it.

Needless to say, the vast majority runs in the high 12s and low 13s, we aren't pros after all. Heck, my worst pass was some 13.0 or 13.1, with the supercharger
Maybe Atco has a better strip or they prep the track better and someone can pull off a better time. All that said, 11.5 for a supercharged 6th gen is way too restrictive.

Discovered why my passenger door has been sticking. Former dealer up noth put the door back together incorrectly. None of the retaining screws or whatever you call them were put in. Only the center bolt.

I would've noticed a lot earlier if I often had passengers. Anyone know what mm the socket for that bolt is? Its the one that holds the interior plastic of the door to the metal frame.

All 3 bolts that hold the door panel to the door are 7mm and if your actuator is loose its 3 torx bolts but I can't remember the size.

I do not believe it is the actuator, none of the electricals are malfunctioning, it is purely the trim plastic piece catching on the sill because it isn't attached.

Thanks, I'll buy a 7mm from home depot or something - I have a speed wrench/ratchet thing in my car still. My dad gave it to me when I first left home and told me it would be handy... he was right it seems lol.

I only brought up the actuator because you mentioned a dealer working on your car so there's no telling what all was reconnected and what wasn't. I just changed mine out as my car is no longer under warranty and they wanted 300 to install one so I bought the actuator for a little less than 100 and changed it out in 30min. Don't forget there are a bunch of little door panel clips in there and they might be broken as well so you might want to order some off Amazon.

that looks great! I was going to wrap the hood but I figured I would do it in flat white as opposed to black.

Just enjoyed getting it out and driving for a bit on some errands and found a small show to drop by as well.

Can I just order any door clips? and would home depot, lowes, or a local hardware stock them?

I called a local dealership, they stated I would need the offending dealer to accept responsibility (they are now 1000+ miles away...) and agree to work with GM/new dealer, and possibly the insurance company (again, I've switched since this claim happened...) and possibly my new insurance company.

This sounds like a nightmare of epic proportions, might need a trim removal tool, etc.

Yeah you're going to need a panel removal tool and I just used the Rexka clips off Amazon they have both the yellow and gray ones. I switched mine to all yellow as they seemed to fit tighter. Here is a picture of the ones I used

Oooh hmm, if I can't get the dealers to work together i will use those...

I'm hoping the dealers will work it out.

I called the old dealer (Koons) and they said they would help any way they can, just find a chevy dealer in my new area and provide the contact info and order numbers koons used.

Koons has a good rep, so i am sure they will back it up.

Had to drive it today to take a wheel from my daily driver to Mr. Tire to get a tire plug. Surprisingly the wheel fit In the trunk.

Drove it an enjoyed it. Stopped by a ceramic detailer to check out as I might go that route. Like a 40 minute cruise each way. Took the kids out to lunch and then went with my youngest to a car show we found out about.

Hell no! I would NOT pay the dealer to work on it. Go to a shop and have it done. They will probably F that up too.
