That was back when I was NA (in 2017) Been boosted since then 10s now

That is an amazing ET and speed, Sir, worthy of heartfelt congratulations even after 3-4 years.

Thanks very much .... at that time I unfortunately didn't really appreciate what the car was running NA because I was so consumed with adding boost and getting into the 10s.

Looking back on it I wish I had given the car more credit for its performance in NA form (Car did all the work I barely did anything LOL).

The 6th Gen SS, A10 should be running 11.9 to 11.8, at least according to test from pros driving them.

The A8 and A10 (in the SS so 8l90 vs 10r80) are actually very close from my experience both awesome but each has a slight advantage over the other in certain areas.

A8- better 60ft and off the line, better 1-2 and 3-4 shift, depending on setup sometimes less shifting, durable definitely stronger than 10r80(8l90 higher rated), less torque management vs A10.

A10- better 2-3 and definitely better 4-5 shift, faster response shifting with the paddles vs A8, Drives much nicer in daily/normal driving even compared to an A8 with correct fluid.

The A10 SS cars I have ran it honestly came down to a driver's race and guess I got lucky majority of the time lol.

Now that I'm boosted 5th gear in my A8 is much more usable and fun with more power but when NA that and the iffy driveability were my main complaints. Correct fluid fixed the rest but still doesn't drive as nice as the A10s.

A lot of guys think of 3rd gen Coyotes when mentioning the A10 .... kind of a different ball game .... 5.0 way higher revs/power band and many more rear gear options.

On topic I bought wheels and tires for the SS (1le wheels wrapped in Advan rubber) should be throwing them on soon.

Got it detailed with ceramic coating and added the supplemental frame to engine ground wire to mitigate slow cranking.

On the way is a Velossa Tech air scoop to be delivered later this week.

Installed ARH 2” long system and BMR motor mounts yesterday. A big thanks to my friend sage85z28 for his help. It was a great day!

Tail of the Dragon

A few days ago I finally went and drove the Tail of the Dragon. While the road attracts motorcyclists like bees to honey, it is still a challenging, scenic drive. 11 miles and 318 turns. I really don't remember the steering wheel being straight.

Engine cover lettering

Decided to address the common engine cover paint flaking issue today. Removed the residual paint and applied some vinyl decals- better than new!

Nice! How would like a 69 Camaro with the big block do on all those turns? That would be exciting to say the least

Will be dropping the transmission pan and replacing the filter and then filling it up back with the blue label fluid.
