If you are planning to drive the car up onto some ramps to do theoil change, then you have no worries and ignore this. Just pick some ramps with enough load capacity and enough height for you to get under it to do the work. However, if you going to lift the car by some other means (quick jack, floor jac and jack stands, etc), do some reading on hereabout how to lift the car properly. My dealer damaged a body panel on my car by lifting it wrong. Good luck and go slow, and i'm sure you'll be fine. Glad to see some Camaro and ZL1 presence in Europe. Can't be easy driving an American gas guzzler there, esp in France. lol |

Yves, notre camarade francais de Camaro!
Good luck with this - you'll do just fine. ![]() I am suprised that no garage in your town in France will do this for you. It's not like it's the Mars Rover using inter-galactic lubrication fluid technology. It must be union rules in French garages against American cars. These are the same forces that are Anti-McDonalds in France. ![]() The math equation is:

which makes no difference at all...Mobil 1 has the ESP blend and Euro blend of 0w40 in which only the ESP blend is Dexos 2. Castrol above which is also Dexos 2 approved meets the necessary criteria/approval.

No one here can really answer that, but the short answer is dexos is bullshit - just another way for GM to pad revenue with mark-ups on oil with some pseudo science "basis". Castrol Edge is a very good oil, just keep on using it, I do. All these modern synthetic oils meet Euro requirements and pass standardized tests (although RP and std Mobil 1 actually perform the worst in most standardized tests)

https://www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/...formula-0w-40/ The 0W-40 ESP blend(Also the blend your car would get if a dealership was to change the oil now, as it is the GM recommended oil, and is the factory fill) has extra cleaning properties to help prevent, carbo buildup, etc. Also it is better for lower temperature days if you have many of them. Prevents aeriation more easily as well.

Ok guys... that seems to be clearer... I won’t often drive it on track and for the moment ... I want to finish the running in.
After this oil changing, I could drive it at 5 6 or 7000 rpm.... for thé moment I don’t drive it more than 3000 rpm and 130 km/h |
