a little over two hours, went fine. No errors, runs fine. Someone posted about the 45 degree elbow for the one connection, either advanced sent the wrong part or ???? Will check schematic on vette for possible repurpose.

You are correct. That is why so many guys on this forum have been putting them on.

I got the same one and returned it. I used a 3/8 fuel hose elbow attached to a straight piece of 3/8 fuel line hose and just push it on. Save the factory hard plastic loop in case you put the OE intake back on, look at my picture to see what I am talking about.

I tried one on my LT1 with my Rotofaband found the center tube a litte too short so I could not get to to seal. And removed the LT2 IM.

They sent me a slightly longer tube. But I have not got a chance to try it.

From what I understand you can run the LT2 IM on the LT1 without a tune safely. If Atco stays open I will put it back on and get s tune.

It is a way better deal thand the MSD (I had one of those also). And it is is a better street performance compromise

Good for you and thanks for the info. If you do get a CEL, its not immediate. 2nd or third restart after some road time and the computer finally gets enough data to throw a code nor not. I retorqued my intake again yesterday and after a run and a restart the cel is off. Retorqued again today after a run. The intake did not take any torque this am after sitting all night, but did after I drove it and got everything up to temp.

BTW Fraxum, the OE air intake is very doable with the LT2 intake. Let me know how you do at Atco, I am following you and your progress... hope you do not mind. Another BTW, did you see any oil film inside the OE intake when you took it off? I did and am thinking of putting on my Elite engineering catch can I took off my 2015 stingray before I sold it.

How many miles and how many close to redline shifts? Yeah, I could stick my fingers into the throat with the throttle body off and come out with a oily film on my finger. Could also see the sheen looking thru the throat. I have done WOT redline shifts many times in the 3000 miles I have on the car.

So did the CEL go away? And was it not being torqued all the way the issue?

Did a retorque after a drive and up to full temp. Intake bolts took more turns to torque. Drove it again later in the day CEL on, shut down, did errand, came back and CEL gone on restart. Came home set torque now to 85 inch lbs and drove car again, let set overnight, rechecked torque after short drive, torque now stable on rechecks. One conclusion I have made is after torque procedure cold indicates good solid feel (no more slight additional turns on the bolts during a few passes around the bolt sequence) that when fully heated after a drive, rechecking torque always netted some twist on each bolt to get the torque wrench to click. Now its a solid click of the wrench hot or cold every time I check. Yes , I do believe until the plastic intake takes the torque setting s and finally stabilizes you may get a CEL. Torqueing the plastic intake does feel different than doing any metal to metal bolt torqueing imo.

I put on a elite engineering catch can today that I took off my 2015 stingray before I sold it. Do not like oil mist inside the intake, and not going to stop twisting it to 6400 rpm on occasion.

First u torque to 75, now to 85. I guess you don’t believe in manufacture torque specs 89. Correct torquing reduces the chance of any vacuum leaks and complete gasket seal.
