BTR Stage 2 numbers?
Looking to do a cam over the winter. I already have a Kong ported stock SC w/ NW 103 TB, 15% lower pulley, Kooks 2" headers w/ green cats (just bought the offroad pipes), Roto-Fab big gulp, Cordes Front mount expansion tank,Borla S type catback and a mighty mouse wild catch can. I have done a ton of research online but can't really find any numbers on guys running the BTR stage 2 cam only and w/ ported heads. I am narrowing my choices down to MTI, RPM and BTR. My car made 718rwhp and 638rwtq on a Dynacom dyno on pump 93. I would like to be cam only or heads and cam if the extra coin for the heads is worth it and run into the 9's on pump w/ no meth . I might consider using E85 if I have to upgrade my lowside which I'm trying to avoid, not because of cost just don't want to drill my tank. Can anyone that runs the BTR stage 2 give me some insight on numbers and drivability? Feel free to PM me if you like. I don't want to call MTI or RPM until I see some feedback on the BTR as I don't want to waste anyones time. Thanks

I have similar build but run meth. Car made 780/803 to the tire.
BTR is a great cam from what I have heard from friends and others. I have a Cammotion stage 3 and it’s awesome! It does buck a bit so I think going the stage 2 route would be much better for street manners. I’m pretty sure BTR and Cammotion use the same grinds. |

We've done the BTR stage 2 cam on several cars over here. Decent chop but not over the top. No drivability issues.

Drives like stock. Just has some chop at red lights. Great all around cam.

All dynos read different and some tracks are faster then others. I have seen SBE NA H/C 6th gen SS cars run 9's @ 138 with 600whp. So variables like Less weight, good air, fast track(Atco) make a significant difference.

Check out his sig line, he has an M6 transmission. Those have problems with the computer and most tuners don't seem to have the fix. Personally I have seen an M6 ZL1 on drag tires, modded up to 804rwhp, and frankly ET-wise it was way off what it should have done. The bog that GM has built in obviously ruins the party, and I think that it gets worse with more air going through the MAF.

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up going with a MTI cam. I called and talked to Jayson and couldn't be happier with the customer service. I called a couple other shops and it seemed like they couldn't be bothered with my questions. I will try to make a thread that shows my build over the winter even though I don't know my way around a computer lol. I'll be doing the MTI cam, FED ported heads, CPR lowside fuel system w/ flexfuel, 2.3 upper pulley, BTR V2 trunnion upgrade, CPR bumper tank and the latest GM oil pump.
