Been storing various sports cars in my attached unheated garage for decades in Canada. Wash the car, fill the tank with gas, put 40lbs of air in the tires, put a cover on it. Occasionally I hook up the battery tender. We go to Florida for a few months each winter, I then disconnect the negative side of the battery until we get home. Have never had a problem with flat spotted tires. That's it.

what is this winter you speak of?bring it to my house in central florida and i will personally drive it for you once a week to keep the battery charged and circulate the oil.ill even run the a/c if its needed.

I basically use the same steps in this thread as well. I do a detail inside and out (wash, clay, polish, wax, tire dressing, vacuum, clean and condition dash and leather interior), change the oil, full tank of 93 with Stabil Marine 360, inflate the tires to 40-45 psi. Then it is put in the unheated garage on carpets, with battery maintainer, dryer sheets inside and underneath, also under the hood. Steel wool with dryer sheets in the tailpipes. I cover it with a nice custom fit indoor car cover from West Coast Camaro. Then let it sit until April or May. I will be looking to put it away in a couple weeks. I was debating on purchasing and trying flatstoppers. In all the years that I have been putting my vehicles away, I have never used anything like that, I always just inflate the tires more and put the vehicles on carpets and have never had an issue with flat spots, so I don't think I need them, but they seemed like a nice idea.

Winter storage will be here sooner rather than later, for us in the north. We've already dipped into the 30's several times, though we are supposed to be spoiled this week with the 60's..I think it may be one of our last "heat waves" for the year. I cleaned, polish, and glazed the Camaro yesterday for beginning preparation for storage. I'll hopefully get a coat of wax on later tonight.

Last week was old man winter flashing us the moon with a few teaser slaps.

It’s coming. I won’t be able to put it in the shop until Nov, so hopefully the snow stays away ‘till then. Nice thing is it will be heated at 55 deg. minimum all winter.

FYI, dryer sheets is a myth.

Northern Maine here (literally, as far north as you can go in Maine). I have a 18 SS and this will be the third year storing it in my garage.
I air up the tires (still on stock Good Years) to 40psi.
Fill the tank with Shell 93 and put in a couple of ounces of Stabil.
I dont bother taking the batter out, but I do hook up a battery tender and let it do it's thing.
I place a few fabric softner sheets inside just in case there is a mouse. Havent seen one yet.
I usually keep at least one box fan running (I have three during the humid months) and my de humidifier.
Spring time thaw is the biggest headache for me as water from the snow likes to find it's way into the garage. Gonna try and seal it with dam of sorts under the door.
Indoor car cover to keep her warm
I go out daily in the winter to check on her. I have issues, yes, I know....my wife even tells me so.

Coming sooner then later in the north country, just hit the 7 day mark of not driving just crap weather and lots of rain. Lake effect rain at that, Just to remind us the Lake effect snow is coming, Whiteface Mtn got snow on Friday so our little foothills are next.

It's nice to have, I've used it at least 7 years, for 70 Chevelle SS, 2010 Camaro SS, C7 Vette, now Zl1.
Detail your car, add Stabil, get trickle charger going, extra air in tires, lay cover out, I put down some carpet square pads for tires to settle on, put fabric cloth car cover over car first, then zip cover over it, when you purchase cover you get bags of OmniDry desiccant bags, I throw couple in the car and rest under the car, 5 months later I unzip it, it looks fresh, clean as when I placed it in the bag. Quality of cover is great, I'm going on 7-8 years now.

I lived in Michigan for 43 years and the same thing happens with the first couple snowfalls each year. Many have forgotten how to drive in the snow in just the few short months since the snow cleared.

Then in the Camaro world there are those who ignore the limitations of their summer tires. The industry term is "Glass Transition Temperature" and should be a clue as to what happens to the tire. That doesn't keep many (some of which I am sure will comment) from driving their summer tires below the 40 degrees, or so, recommended by the manufacturer.

It makes common sense that snow or no snow, salt or no salt, when the temps drop below 40 degrees a car with Summer tires should be in storage.
