Winter Storage
What steps should I take to put the car away for about six months here in Wisconsin? It will have indoor storage, beyond Stabil, any suggestions? I've never stored a car before...

id air up the tires and find a way to block off the air intake for the hvac. mice love hanging out in there.
battery tender or disconnect the battery and check charge before starting again.

North East Ohio we had some really nice weather this year, looking for low 70s and sun this week, I'm in total agreement not looking forward to putting the car under cover for extended time. I got this up in Michigan few years ago, I'm still using it, no issues with critters.

I know someone who uses a car cover that you drive over and then zip up so the car is completely encased to keep critters out.

I’ve been storing cars thru the winter for 15+ years, Canadian winters at that. My recipe:
Complete and thorough detail followed by wax and then topped with indoor tight fitted cover, (tender on the battery or full disconnect, no need to store battery elsewhere). No extra air in the tires, no gasoline additives, nothing fancy under the tires. That’s it. My garage is tight, and there is no chance critters can get in, I even have razor wire around any pipe or possible ingress point. Also, once shut, the garage is closed and the vehicle door does not open until spring. This garage isn’t heated but it is attached to the house which helps immensely to keep it warm (relatively speaking). Once stored I don’t open them, or do anything to the cars from Halloween until May. I have a 67 year old car that’s been stored this way by my family or me since day 1, and she still looks new. Nothing fancy, just some common sense. Come spring they fire right up, and look perfect for the first ride. I have never had an issue with flat spotting, and as far as I’m concerned my method isn’t broken, so I’m not going to try to fix it. Hope this helps at least a few of you, happy storing!

I have been thinking of picking one of these up. While I dont expect mice to be an issue, with reading some horror stories on here, I think it might be cheap (relatively) insurance against.
https://www.carbag.com/ Anyone currently use one of these that can speak to it?
