I'm interested in a 60K to 75K mid-engine car, kind of like my dream of owning a Dino or Pantera come true albeit with WAY more HP and performace.
Cam in cam is what I would love to see as an option to keep tje small block alive and viable for both horsepower and emissions needs.

I'd love to see a cam in cam small block in a future camaro or base vette.

Give that one the NA engine but still offer decent options with the chance to upgrade/add options. Then make Z06/ZR1 comparable variants. I do not think the Challenger should have anything to do with any of this. They already have a winning formula with the Chally and Charger along with a very strong and dedicated fan base. Why fcuk with that? They need to leave those cars out of it.

I do not think he had any legit intentions of following thru. They literally have a bunch of ZL1 guys over there who claim to race on and off tracks. One of them was trolling on here for a while. And another troll that used to follow me around over here has a supercharged SS and claims a bunch of shit. So there were plenty of options if he truly wanted to showcase his car against others or whatever. Hell I'd have enjoyed seeing him come out to Houston to run with you or for you to have come up here. Oh well. But there is hope. With this virus being what it is I have seen a lot of dealerships dropping their ADMs on the 20 GT500 and are selling at MSRP. There might even be room to negotiate a price too, lol!! I'm looking to add to my collection and a GT500 is not out of the question now especially if I can get it discounted. If I get my hands on one...then who knows!!
I don't disagree with you but I loved the viper for everything that limited its sales pontential. Loved the big raw NA motor and manual only offering.

I loved the days of the z vettes being manual only as well as all the shelby cars. Atleast the gt350 is the last of the Mohicans for as long as it lasts, now that the ss 1le is going to have an auto option as well.

Please post some pics, Silver is a killer color on the S550, especially the Shelbys.

I would like to see that as well.

I couldn't care less about what Ford does. But yea a new Viper would be cool. It can't be NA tho. Those days are over.

I agree after seeing how fast just the 490 HP Stingray version is. It is bottom of the barrel and stock to stock even the GT500 needs special conditions to be faster. That says a lot.

What do you consider to be a "Supercar" and a "Hypercar"? I have just been considering them all to be Supercars at this point.

A hyper car is a car
-you typically need to be invited to buy
-ultra low production
-msrp around 1m or higher
-a showcase of what a company is capable of with a blank check build

They really are totally different than supercars.

A lambo huracan, or mclaren 720s, are supercars, they are obtainable by normal people that simply are well paid. Like say a surgeon, a medium sized business owners. Supercars a built to make a profit.

Hyper cars are bought by the $500m+ net worth crowd with a collection of cars and a relationship with the automakers.

Mclaren 720s = supercar
Mclaren senna = hypercar

I realize the 720s is the worst possible example since it is pretty much blows the doors off most supercars. It is much slower than a senna though.

Yup. Iconic Silver is the Ford color name and yes it is pushing @ 1,000 hp. But he’s on here so he can talk about the specs when he’s ready.

They should race to 181 MPH!!

This new group I know about has some guys making some crazy power. But some of them only race for money. If he wants then I'll see if any of them want to race his almost bone stock 900+ RWHP GT500 and for how much. I'm sure they'll be out Saturday. I haven't had the chance to roll with them yet because I've been working 2 weeks straight between NJ and NY. But I'll reach out if he really wants. And if any of his buddies from over there wanna join then I'll see if we can match them up as well. Stock GT500s or whatever. They can all lie about their mods to each other and lose money to each other or whatever...I'll video the whole thing and post it on YT.

To be clear. I will not be participating in this as I have too much to risk right now. Especially now. At best I can be the recorder with my PDR or I'll try to get my hands on a GP or figure something out. But I'm making way too much money right now to risk getting arrested and losing my professional healthcare license. If that pisses anyone off then I really don't care. My contract in NY can possibly get extended for a year or more which will basically triple my salary and I'd be dumb as hell to risk that racing someone. LOL!! When he decides to show up and give us more details and stop being vague and actually lets us know what he wants to do and who's car it is and what is done to said car or if it is his car or if it is bone stock or highly modded or whatever the hell he has then I'll get the ball rolling. But fair warning, his 900+ RWHP GT500 might get eaten alive. And he might be driving home penniless. Just sayin...

Matter of fact, I'll message a couple people now and see who wants to play this Saturday. He doesn't have to disclose anything. He can hide his mods and pick whoever he thinks he might have the advantage against and avoid whoever he thinks will walk him if he wants. No further details needed. I'll try to set this up now. We'll see if he chooses to come back and reply or not.

I am very interested to see what they did.

IIRC the Viper ACR was lapping faster than the C6 and C7 respectfully. The C7 ZR1 didn't come out until after the Viper was out of production.
