If u live in ca and want the secondaries removed, just pull the exhaust off and gut them out..
Cheaper then cutting them out and still looks stock

the widening and the narrowing of the hollow housing probably will create more turbulence than a large straight thru cat brick....

Agreed. Gutting cats usually results in a power loss vs a piece of straight pipe (unless the cat was clogged).

I’ve also had this done. Think it was $150. No codes, barely any louder with stock muffler. I went axel back after though and the combo is borderline too loud. Maybe you gain 2hp and drop 5lb. Nothing to write home about but at the price of a few welds, why not?
