You’re correct, that’s what I was considering race gas although maybe that’s not the correct terminology for the 100 octane. I do want to try a tank worth to see how much difference there is but I’ll probably wait till it’s warmer to get the full effect. Can I just run a full tank of it or should it be mixed 50/50 or something?

I use an octane booster (RaceGas) with my supercharged SS that has similar power to a stock ZL1. Gas sold here, although 93 octane, still isn't good enough to run without knock retard at WOT, I typically add just enough to raise it to 95-96 and that cleans it up completely. Anything lower than 93 must be even worse for performance.
That said, I try to be conservative with this, not being an expert and having read some caveats about MMT (methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl) that is in these boosters.

You can get AVGAS (100-116 Octane) at small local airports too.

It will run fine on 91. Altitude means less dense air, less cylinder pressure, and less max boost.
If you have E85 on the Western slope that could be an option as well if you add the sensor and get a tune. E85 is easy to get in the Colorado Springs area so it is what I run mine on. |

With your altitude, 91 is pretty much 93. I lived in New Mexico at anywhere from 5000-6000 feet altitude at all times, drove a Terminator Cobra with 20 lbs of boost and used 91 octane daily with zero problems...

check out the calculator in this thread...that'll help you figure out how to mix it to get the octane you want. It shouldn't hurt anything to run with a higher octane, but in "general" the wisdom is anything more than you need to avoid detonation is wasting money. And maybe even a tiny amount of power, as the higher octane number means it's harder to ignite the fuel, and you may not get as much fuel burn during the ignition phase. I'd probably just run 1 gal of 100 for every 2 gal of 91, as there's no guarantee the pump rating is accurate. |

You are fine running 91 octane. Living out west I have done plenty of track days on 91. If the car is stock it will make all the timing adjustments and drive just fine.

It's extremely unlikely that product documentation pages are wrong and the infinitesimal octane increase you claim to be all that's possible with these products would still have eliminated knock for me.
