That's it Danaco. Pedal feel! Different formulas will react differently when heated, in Brake Fluid, Compressibility is associated to Pedal Feel. In other words, what folks are talking about is that HTC64T maintains a firm pedal during the entire track day, whereas other brake fluid may cause a "spongy or soft pedal" as the track day goes on and/or how fast a firm pedal will return after cool down.

I know this is an older thread..but the quote above is not correct. "Wet" boiling point is defined by DOT standard is when the fluid contains 3.7% water by volume. https://epicbleedsolutions.com/blogs...of-brake-fluid that is typically estimated to take around two years.

If you regularly flush fluid - let's say at least twice a year, dry boiling point is of much more interest. Even then...if whatever fluid you're using isn't boiling, then it's dry boiling point suffices for the application. As others noted, feel in the pedal can definitely change though.

For years I've used wilwood 570 - buy it by the case. It's inexpensive, has good dry BP, and comes in pint bottles so I'm not left with a lot of fluid in an open container. Unfortunately, my favorite is tilton tsr-1 which I believe has been discontinued. Always gave me a slightly stiffer pedal than the wilwood and has a significantly higher BP.

The brembo htc64 looks great - have to give that a try...but only if I determine the wilwood isn't good enough.. No point throwing money away..

I recommend you give the wilwood a try..

Brembo and Endless are the only BFs that you will find in F1 cars. That says a lot.

I saw the same article over a year ago and did some additional research. I contacted Torque directly with no success. I then found some race shops that carried Torque and found that almost all of them had switched from Torque RT700 to Prospeed RS683. It turns out that Prospeed was the original development team and producer. So essentially it is the same product at a greater value.

I was running SRF. I was considering Brembo HTC64T. It was recommended by a trusted acquaintance. I ended up going with Prospeed. Better value/about $7 per .5 ltr. savings over Brembo and significant savings over Endless (I swap out DOT4 at the very least once a year and bleed as needed). The numbers on wet and dry boiling, compressibility, resistance to H2O absorption after boiling are superior to both. Ultimately the pH numbers sold me (seals last longer).

Bonus; I also discovered that Andretti Autosport runs it in their IndyCar.

Best of all, it is produced and was developed in the USA!

FWIW, I recently swapped out my OEM brake (flex) lines with some really sexy CF lines (thanks Mani), which certainly added a firmer pedal. However, IMHO the difference between SRF and Prospeed is night and day. Amazingly firm and predictable pedal feel with zero fade so far.

Just my $0.02.

Srf was hard to find at the end of last year. RRT said Castro was releasing a new batch or formula and therefore they pointed me in the Brembo direction.

Do you have a vendor you buy the prospeed from? Curious to read more about it.

Torque's website is still up torquebrakefluid.com. There is a link for authorized dealers, most are speed shops. It has been a while, but last time I checked many of those dealer sites have discontinued RT700 and offer RS683.

Shipping costs for me here always play a role in my purchase choices. I have seen it on Amazon with crazy shipping costs here. intertch-usa on eBay ships via USPS flat rate. I have received 2 sperate 4X.5 ltr. shipments from them that went out next day with no issues.

Great stop juice so far. Good luck.

That is an impressive run... Even more so on DOT3?

Did it get mushy at all?
