They are such a weird company. The do some really cool things and take chances on products, but don’t totally follow through on the product. Then they send you a nice owners packet with their special cars and of course the Track Attack program. Then you have a problem and it is crickets, rudeness no calls back forever etc etc. Very very odd experience for me at least. Point being is that they’ve been building cars forever and you would think buy now certain easily fixable build quality issues would be thing long in the past. Especially with robots and the precision tooling etc etc. |

I tried to bring up the point over on M6G that while it's great the Ford seems to have finally sorted the S550 chassis with the newest GT350 and GT500, it's a shame they haven't applied those fixes down the line to the standard GT. The general consensus from them seemed to be 'well if you want to best one you have to pay for it'..
I'm glad I could spend 40k on an SS 1LE and get the same incredible chassis as the ZLE.

In terms of suspension geometry and steering, things like that, it's the same across the board as far as I know.
IIRC, the Shelby cars have a revised front knuckle and power steering. Things that Ford could easily bring to the rest of the lineup but hasn't.

The V8 and 1LE trio really are insane values to the performance enthusiast. All that standard content! Tremec, coolers, Brembo, performance tires...
The commitment from Chevy Performance is unquestionable IMO and starts with these two guys

Anyone obsessed over a V8 sound and feel, cannot live with a 4 cyl. A V6 makes it very liveable. |

I think my ZR2 engine is basically the same engine and doesn't sound bad when you get on it.

Are you referring to a colorado ZR2 with the V6 ? I think that 3.6 is not the same high content camaro V6 as it has less horsepower like the impala with 305 horse and some other editions with 310 horse versus the 335 horse in the 6th gen camaro.
