They are such a weird company. The do some really cool things and take chances on products, but don’t totally follow through on the product. Then they send you a nice owners packet with their special cars and of course the Track Attack program. Then you have a problem and it is crickets, rudeness no calls back forever etc etc. Very very odd experience for me at least.

Point being is that they’ve been building cars forever and you would think buy now certain easily fixable build quality issues would be thing long in the past. Especially with robots and the precision tooling etc etc.
LOL, my comment wasn't meant to be condescending towards you. I was just talking shit and adding to what you were saying. And you are right. Ford does cool things, but then it's like they run out of money and have to skimp elsewhere. Like with the Voodoo. They threw tons of money into that engine and then tons of money into CF wheels but then skimped out on other areas. The result was engines that drank oil and blew up. Then they build the PP2, realize that it could actually beat the GT350, and then have to skimp out on that so it won't beat the GT350...which resulted in a car with amazing tires and no extra cooling that overheats. Which is a shame.

The general consensus from them seemed to be 'well if you want to best one you have to pay for it'..

I'm glad I could spend 40k on an SS 1LE and get the same incredible chassis as the ZLE.
And the ones who are saying that are probably driving S197 GTs or 15-17 GTs. LOL!!

Exactly. Look at how far out of reach the competition for the ZL1, Base C8, and Z51 C8 is. Three cars all under $65K. And look at what you have to spend to compete with them and still not be assured a victory. That is why I switched camps years ago. I got tired of spending money for shitty performance. When a new platform Mustang GT handles worse than a 5 year old previous Gen Camaro SS and is just as fast then that says something. Plus the money I would have had to spend to build a S550 GT Premium up to 17 ZL1 performance levels would have been way more than just buying a ZL1.

Yes, but I see I'm wrong. I have the LGZ and the camaro has the LGX? Not sure the specific differences though...

The truck has 308hp. Sounds pretty good for a V6.

Coming within $504 of the LL1 cap, the $34,495 Camaro 1LE steals more than eight seconds from the previous LL1 record holders. In doing so, it leaves in its wake a parade of more powerful and more expensive cars, and it absolutely stomps its current Blue Oval rival, the Mustang EcoBoost equipped with the Performance package. Were they on the track at the same time, the boosted Mustang would only be exiting Hog Pen onto the front straight as the Camaro crossed the start/finish line at 3:04. The Ford needs an additional 11.6 seconds to complete its lap. And it gets worse for Mustang acolytes: Despite a 100-hp deficit, the 1LE laps VIR faster than the eight-cylinder Mustang GT.

V6 Camaros beating V8 Mustang GTs. 650 HP ZL1s beating 760 HP GT500s. A 495 HP $65K C8 Z51 beating a $94K GT500 in the quarter mile. What is this world coming to? LOL!!

Meanwhile, is there any Mustang that can beat a more expensive or more powerful Camaro at anything?

(Crickets)...

HAHAHA, no shock. Will be this way a while, at least a year. I was on eBay and saw some allocations up for bid, clear in the title that they did not include the price of the car.

One allocation was at $50K, and the other as at $65K already. Wasn't that long ago the world saw this happen with the GT350's, and look at where their used values are now. I also find it hard to believe that smart, rich people would pay ADM. Throwing away money doesn't hurt less just because you're rich, when you're also smart.
