Hey Arpad, I noticed you live in New Jersey just like me. Quick question for you. As you know we are required to have a front license plates in new jersey and our camaros dont have a designated spot for them. What do you do with yours? do you just not put it or is there a workaround?

I dont think i experienced that shudder? Like im not even sure how to spot that for sure, or the diff groan. I dont think I heard anything, but then again Im not sure what to look out for. the thing is that, I understand cars generally speaking but not mechanically so i am just afraid I missed something. I hope not though! xD
Relax. Don't sweat it so hard. Every car forum is full of issues, because in general users that encounter one tend to post in the first place 50-70 thousand 6th gen Camaros were sold every year since 2016.

The shudder, if present, will be a rumble strip like experience at 40-50-ish mph, in 7th or 8th gear. Even then it's fixable, and the fix should be free, the car is within powertrain warranty with that mileage. Hopefully the dealer is a good one.

Cranking time is commanded by the ECU and depends on several factors, one of which is temperature, it can take 1-2 seconds longer in cold weather, perfectly normal.

Diff groan is just that, a short groan when taking the first wide turn with a cold car. Fixable with a fluid change.

Anything else that is a non-dealbreaker, you'll find help.

I have the super useful and stealthy Sto-n-Sho so that the bumper and the grille can remain intact, but keep the license plate in the trunk, for emergencies Never been stopped for this.

So you have never actually been pulled over for not having a front license plate? Im not sure if I misunderstood you when it comes to whether you use that piece or not! Freaking new jersey, why could not they just make it legal to not have front license plate, car is so much more sexy without it.

Thanks for easing my mind my guy! If I may ask, where in New jersey are you at? Maybe we could keep in touch in the future! Also, as far as shudder goes, I drove at those speeds and I definitely did not feel it. The car could have been warm when I got there so I did not notice groan either! Hopefully everything is good!

I have the Sto-n-Sho as well, but I also think it is useful as an extra bumper for people that don't know how to park and protects the sharp part of the lower bumper from scraping, rocks, etc. while driving.

As you can tell, I'm an optimist...

Congrats on the new car!

I think what you are feeling at idle is normal and seems to be a trait of the direct injection engines in general. My Fusion has done it since day one also and it now has 134K miles on it with zero issues. The Camaro has 73K miles right now and I noticed it right away but it is no concern to me because I'm used to it.

I paid the same amount you did for 38K miles as that seems to be the going rate here in Texas too, and I also found my window sticker and the car sold new for $52K but mine has the $3K brake upgrade.

Hey guys, I picked up a car and drove hour and a half back. Okay so just a little concern which im nit sure about but the car might have the shudder at around 60-70mph. I still have powertrain warranty and plus this dealer gave me 6 months powertrain warranty, so just in case it has it, chevy covers that right? I would just go to chevy as I rather have them have it done. once again im not sure if thats what shudder is but I did a bit of vibration when I applied little gas at 60-70 mph but only sometimes so idk.

The MyLink stereo/human interface device on the 2016 cannot be upgraded at all for any software updates. The 2017 is able to update software.

I have terrible experience with CarPlay. Ever since I upgraded to the beta IOS 13, it doesn't recognize my phone anymore. It charges, just won't give me the option of CarPlay in the interface.
