I'd tell the dealer about it, maybe take the sales guy for a short drive and demonstrate, then get them to commit to a fix. This should not be a major deal. If the car is CPO (certified pre-owned), you'll get a 12-month bumper to bumper warranty that will certainly cover the mirror if it's at fault; not sure what happens if it's just a normal used car, I never bought any non-CPO car from a dealer.
Do you know how much would the fix run me ? Like what are the possibilities, if I was to replace a mirror myself, how much would it cost me on estimate ?

Nuthin' if you get a warranty The mirror assembly itself with auto-dimming and blind spot monitoring goes for ~$200, if you're willing to install it yourself. Don't worry that much

Regarding the whistling, is the driver window coming all the way up after you close the door? Note that when you open the door, the window automatically goes down just a scoshe to make it easier to close then goes the rest of the way up after you close it. There is a way to re-index the window if it is misbehaving.

FWIW, I own a 2016 2SS fairly loaded with about 18k miles. I have not noticed any whistling.

Forgive me if you already know this, but one thing you definitely want to do with a Camaro is work really hard to adjust the mirrors properly so you get the best possible views for lane changes. This video explains it well:

You'll have blind spot monitoring, my friend, and if you set side mirrors correctly, there is no appreciable blind zone. Gotta be careful on tight right turns not to hit the curb, though.

I for one didn't find visibility a problem, it's like getting adjusted to widescreen monitors after old style 4:3 ones. Weird initial impression for sure, but then after 10-15 minutes all is well with the world again. Auto mirror downtilting in reverse helps a lot with parallel parking and curbs in general, plus the ability to save an exit position for the seat and mirrors is also helpful.

In fact, once you're inside, seat and steering wheel position set up right, mirrors adjusted, the car encloses around you sitting in the cockpit, which makes for a f***ing amazing drive. The faster you go, the smaller and tighter the car becomes. Never had this feeling in any other car I drove.

Agree with your above reply arpad!! When I first got my 2010 SS 5th gen it took a while to get used to the seats, lower roofline and higher doors! Then I bought a 2016 2SS 6 years later and it was an easier transition to get accustomed to the 6th gen except I did notice that it was smaller on the inside than the 2010 but like you said it was like sitting in a cockpit of a fighter jet. Fast forward to now when back in March I bought a used 2017 ZL1 which to say the least is very enjoyable over driving the 2010 and 2016 especially when the LT4 kicks in and starts screaming! It does take a bit of right foot control though to drive in the rain with those GY F1 Supercar tires to keep from spinning out!

Yep I just happened to find the used 2017 on Cars.com back in late February with less than 500 miles for a good price and figured I could step up at that time and I wanted to give myself a 61st birthday present so I bought it. I took me about a week or so to decide to buy it but after I drove it home(4 hour trip) from South Carolina near Greenville I had no regrets and still don’t. I can understand you are excited pabex as I was when I was driving my 2016 2SS for the last time to get the 2017 ZL1!

You probably will forget all about it once you get in and start driving and enjoying the heck out it!! Even my ZL1 has some noises that my 2016 SS didn’t have but hey when I get in and drive the beast I don’t notice them anymore!

Im just afraid I missed something Greg. With these many people listing these many problems, I wonder how I could be so lucky for my car to be so clean I guess. I mean, there is that whistle noise. I also noticed that little jiggle when in Drive and stopped but that felt normal and also I noticed car takes a second more to start up than Im used to with regular cars, which someone said is normal considering the time it takes to build up pressure, it being v8 and all. I dont think i experienced that shudder? Like im not even sure how to spot that for sure, or the diff groan. I dont think I heard anything, but then again Im not sure what to look out for. the thing is that, I understand cars generally speaking but not mechanically so i am just afraid I missed something. I hope not though! xD
