I was driving home from work and my infotainment alerted me that an update was available. I allowed the download, it told me it would install after parking. After parking, I was told to exit the car and make sure nobody was in it, and to ensure I didn't need to use the car for the next 10 minutes.
After the download finished and installed, I looked at the various menus and couldn't tell that anything had changed.
Does anybody know what the latest update did? I have searched for it online but have found nothing to let you know what the latest firmware was supposed to do.

"This software provides updates to correct HUD and radio display errors, erroneous climate control messaging, occasional speaker popping, and memory utilization. Do not service the vehicle during installation. If your vehicle is not using the built-in 4G LTE connection, applicable data rates may apply"

You also have the option to decline the update if you choose.

So this was a software update and not someone tossing in a bug grenade?

Got my update yesterday morning right as I parked at work. Turned the car off and watched the display, took about 10 minutes to complete. It looks like it fixed the issue with the radio displaying "Climate OFF" when changing the blower speeds. Haven't found anything else changed, but curious, anyone know what issue they were fixing with the HUD?

Is this only available on the 2019? I’ve got a 2016 2SS and am sooooo disappointed with the MyLink performance.

To my understanding the 2018 and below you have to go to the dealer. i went last month and was there for two hours for them to check to see if an update is available. dealer was confused when i asked them to check if update was available and started looking for what the issue was. after and hour they came and asked me if i had been having trouble with the system and i said not really, was just wondering if there was an update available. They return in another hour to let me know there wasn't. i have not found anywhere to look myself to see if one is available.
