As the title implies, I am wondering what the side effects of putting 305/35/20 Nitto 555r's on my 2019 ZL1 would be? I've read many threads but not come up with a clear answer. The only reason I want to put these on is because I have virtually new ones left over from my brief stint owning a Hellcat. Rubbing maybe? I don't really care about the speedo being out a couple MPH.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Anyway, for me, I just wanted more sidewall as I like a meatier tire. I will be taking their advice and not going to higher profile tires on 20's. However, it is making me consider running a different wheel with 285/35/19 in the front and 305/35/19 in the back. If I drop a wheel size, I can reduce weight, have increased ride quality, and run the higher profile tires that will likely result in slightly increased performance. I would be giving up the great 20' look on our cars...

So to clarify, you didn't have rubbing or issues with the wiring harness? For everyone who says they didn't, there is a person who says they did. Do ZL1s sit lower? What about the magride option?

On a M6 no rubbing. On the A10 the harness is there and will run through

Thanks, I feel better about putting these on now. I will move the harness as a precautionary measure.

Josh is spot on. These tires are one of the best upgrades you can do to the car.

First of all, the harness you speak of on the drives side rear is on M6 cars also.
You'll have potential problems in the FRONT with the 285 35 20. Cars with mag ride (ZL1) don't like the clearance of the 35's in front

Good information. Luckily I only want to put my old Hellcat 35s on the back.

I just put 305/35R20 Mickey Thompson ET on my rear 2023 ZL1 and they rubbed on the driver side inside fender. Something hard behind the wall. No go for stock wheels
