I have a 2017 hyundai elantra limited as my daily commuter. Just hit 2 years and have 60k miles on it. I plan on keeping it for as long as I can while buying a camaro soon as a side car. Hyundai should be paid off once camaro comes in.

I highly recommend anyone commuting to get a car they will still enjoy driving, but obviously won't care getting beaten up. I love the tech in the Hyundai and the gas mileage, but driving the camaro is a different kind of enjoyment

I bought a 2LT auto because I thought it would make a good commuter car, and I was right. I'm getting about 26MPG with my 30 minute commute (the actual distance is not impressive) and I only need to fill it up once every 2 weeks.

I drive a 2008 Mazda CX-9 as my commuter. It has almost 270,000 miles on it. It’s. A great car and I enjoy the comfort. It’s not the fastest car in the world but it definitely has some get-up. The Camaro is my dream car and I intend to keep it for as long as I can.

used cruze was $240 a month plus $120 for gas = $360 so even with two cars im still saving money lol
Wow I can't imagine $480 a month for gas. I never even had a car payment that high. Geez, that with a car payment and insurance? Maybe when I was younger but now as I approach retirement I need gas mileage, low insurance and NO car payments.

But I know the difference on bad gas mileage cars that require premium fuel and I did not hang on to them long. My past 2011 SS M6 got 13-16 MPG- 16 on the highway. And my past 2010 Subaru WRX got about the same. And I drive with a light foot. It was very expensive for gas when I had those 2 cars and I only owned each one for about 6 months.

I wasn't complaining about the commute itself. I get paid for it, it's 2.5 hours of overtime a day, they provide the car and gas, so it's really a good deal. Just that I miss my Camaro and the civic is a sad ride. There has actually been times where a nice muscle car has pulled up beside me and I went to rev the engine, but then realized I was in the sad car, lol.

how does this man gotta fill up twice a week. i got a 2ss and on a full tank that shit goes like 200 miles. and depending on how much of it is highway it can easily have a range of like 250 miles if the AFM is on which usually it is on the highway

How do you like the Cruze? I was thinking of getting something economical like that for when I don't want to take the Camaro or the Jeep.
