Were you manually shifting?

I keep it in drive at the drag strip and road course.

Great pass bud, just not everyone can do it. Practice, practice, practice and they will sharpen up the old ass meter

Thats excellent! I'd love to see what you get with some tires.

I wonder what this translates to on a non-prepped surface and no burnout for the street runs. +0.25s ?

Don't laugh, this was my first with this car and first ever with a V8 Automatic.

Conditions:
MPS4Ss instead of stock R-Compound
Non Prepped Surface
I had AC on
I had a full tank of gas
Wife in the car (125lbs + I'm 220lbs)
Car was in Sport Mode (not-PTM)
No Launch Control
Traction Control Off (StabiliTrak On)
About 1200 miles on the car.

I just hit the pedal and lightened a bit to gain traction then full throttle.

I know It's not a respectable time but I think it's fine given the above circumstances are "real life" and "worst case"

Maybe this has been posted, and I missed it. The road type and surface condition of a street (not a controlled environment like the track) will play a large role in a good launch. I can struggle to hit a 4.0 zero to sixty time regardless of tire pressure, settings, and technique because the road itself. Then I have stopped on a concrete bridge with a great surface and rip off 3.5 sec 0-60 just a moment later with the same settings and technique. Again this doesn't necessary apply to a drag strip that is prepped but to street driving.

I just gave up and got a manual that I knew wouldn't launch well.

My best was 3.6 but many 3.7's and a ton of 4.2's

That was my feeling as well. I feel like I can do better but I'm not expecting a 3.5. I'll be thrilled if I can get sub 4

I think a 3.7 with a M6 ZLE is excellent. This car in manual form is very hard to launch.

No.... I'm talking about my 2017 A10. and I could not do that consistently. All depended on how the torque management responded. I would know in the 1st second if it was going to be a good run or not.

I'd be happy to get a 4.1 in the ZLE..

Ahh I see.

I still think a 3.6 & 3.7 is excellent for a ZL1 A10 under any conditions.

What were the conditions? Street, track? What mode? What tires?

I think it would be great to hear conditions and methods from people that achieve respectable 0-60 times for others to learn.

Thanks

EDIT: actually that should be a thread on its own!

It actually is a thread of it's own and I sort of just gave up trying to figure it out.

Tried all combos both street and track.

Okay this time was identical to the last except I forgot to turn off traction control.

Conditions:
MPS4Ss instead of stock R-Compound
Non Prepped Surface
I had AC on
I had a 3/4 tank of gas
Wife in the car (125lbs + I'm 220lbs)
Car was in Sport Mode (not-PTM)
No Launch Control
Traction Control On (StabiliTrak On) <-- Different than last time
A10 was in Auto Mode.
About 1200 miles on the car.

I'm actually very proud of this number.
This is my 3rd try ever (with this car).
Given that I'm on street tires and have my wife in in the car, I feel like this is pretty impressive.

Also, I did ZERO fancy footwork, I had traction control on and transmission in auto, and I just mashed the gas pedal.

3.8s <3

Can't see the time due to how you posted the pic. Smugmug is blocked on my computer.
