1LE wing removal.
Anyone removed the wing yet? If so, how difficult and anything to watch out for?

Super easy,
Just don’t drop the bolt inside the trunk.... Use magnetic tools... Or you will have to remove the trunk to get those F... bolts trapped inside |

When I had PPF done, I asked the shop to pull off the wing so we could use one sheet to cover the trunk. He said he took off the bolts but yet the wing didn’t come off easily. He said it was still stuck to the trunk and it didn’t want to move.
So we never did move it. But I know Scotty did have his off so I’m not sure of why there would be a differences between the two cars. |

To remove it you have to press them to detach the wing Plus you have kind of 3M tape between the pylons and the trunk, Apply some heat to help to unstick it... Last edited by Biscuit.fr; 07-03-2019 at 08:38 AM. |

I thought the car looked pretty sinister without the wing.

Thanks for the info. I will pass it along to the shop just in case he gets another 1LE come through.

I will admit I'm not a huge fan of the zl1 1le wing. mine is a standard zl1 but if I had a 1le it would definitely get removed (deleted)
