Holy smokes! (tires)

Finally passed my break in miles and was playing with the traction control today. These ZL1's with A10's are so dang much fun! Did my first launch with a very slight power brake and the thing is instantly smoking the tires, shifting like a madman and leaving two stripes down the road behind me....definitely puts a smile on this grand pa's face

I see a need for stickier tires in my near future!

They'll get sticky if you get some heat into them first. Above 80F ambient they grip quite well. Below 60F they are metal roller skates.

I find about the first 10 minutes of driving my car is sideways everywhere without any right foot effort. Like it just slides everywhere. People must think im driving like a jackass but really its the friggin tires that are sliding all over the place

++ 100% when they are warm, they have plenty of grip

I hope so. They are pretty scary when cold. Been one of those years when it just won't warm up in this part pf the country.

The PS4S were my best mod. And that was before we relocated back to Oregon from Texas. I can't imagine living in the PNW with the OEM slicks! Then again, my lame ass only has 3K miles after too many months...no excuses, except my new Panigale V4S mods distracting me. I gotta get this Camaro some love before the summer is over.

I'm a long way from break-in (400mi) but I couldn't resist. Yesterday I did my launch (just to tide me over).

I had the car in sport mode and traction control off (stabilitrak on). I didn't time it but it sure was fast! I actually had to keep both hands on the wheel to keep the car straight!

Love it!
I'm not a pro drag-racer w/ a manual so for me it feels so much faster than my M6 ZLE.

PS: I've got the MPS4s on mine and they're not as snappy as stock rubber but they're excellent street tires.
