Corsa I heard was too loud... I felt the loudness took away all the characteristics of the car.

Awesome!!! It really is a great exhaust and super happy with the outcome.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I guess it could be the pipes touching / vibrating slightly.

Corsa and AWE are exactly the same with non-resonated AWE system. In fact Corsa is a bit quieter inside the cabin while cruising. Add resonator to AWE and you'll tame that down just a bit.

That sounds great man. I’m another that had to have the NPP for the sleeping kid and neighbors, or i would have bought this exact setup. I ended up with a stainless works catback

Yep that’s what I’m thinking. I’m gonna get under the car when I have some time to figure it out. It only happens when the car is really warm too.

Thank you! I heard great things about stainless works as well. So many great options for this car and that’s what makes this platform so great.

Yeah I had to have resonators to keep it a little tame in daily driving. Both exhausts are great and you can’t go wrong. All personal preference.

What functional difference do the resonators make? 10% louder without? 20%? More sharp sounding without? More cabin drone? How much, subjectively? I know this is difficult, but I'm basically down to deciding between resonators or not, system would otherwise be Touring w/ The link pipe/secondary elimination.

It is not a daily driver.

Car in OP sounds awesome by the way, just wondering how to quantify the difference in the same system without resonators.

MLEE, correct me if I'm wrong (I've listened to your video a bunch over the last month) but you do NOT have the PLP's, right? You still have secondary cats?

You made a great choice then.

Mine is the same system as the OP without resonators and without PLP. All my cats still in place

That Corsa system in the video is pretty much a direct comparison to what I have.

Is this correct, Mike?

OP: Resonated Touring cat-back without secondary cats due to PLP in addition to the AWE X Pipe
Corsa (In video): Xtreme axle back with secondary cats in place (Borla 60607 "short" X Pipe)
Mlee (In video): Non-resonated Touring with secondary cats in place (AWE "short" X pipe)

I had the AWE Touring installed a little over a month ago. After some spirited driving I noticed a slight metal-on-metal clanking sound and could feel it through the pedals. I took it back to the shop and they said the stainless steel expands with heat and needed to be adjusted. After the adjustment I have had no further issues and love the sound!

I love cars with awesome exhaust notes. My previous 2 cars were E92 M3 & F-Type R. Both cars never lacked in sound and are arguably some of the best sounding cars in the market today. When I first bought my ZLE, I was a bit disappointed by the stock exhaust. I felt you really couldn't hear the LT4 unless the valves were open and even then... it still wasn't enough for me so I immediately wanted a new exhaust.

I started my search and narrowed it down to Corsa & AWE Tuning. Corsa sounded amazing but it was a little too loud IMO. After speaking with Josh @ AWE, I decided to go with their Resonated Touring Catback with Performance Link Pipes (secondary cat-delete). I also ordered black tips to blend everything in a bit better with my diffuser.

4 weeks later my exhaust showed up and I couldn't be happier. Quality of the pipes, welds, and packaging was all on point and exactly as I anticipated. Install went smoothly with no hiccups since everything fit like a glove.

The moment I've been waiting for... I started the car and wow.. it sounded amazing! You can immediately tell the car just sounds more angry now. Revving the engine gives you that angry tone with small burbles at the end. Car is noticeably louder but it's not overwhelmingly loud that it sounds just like any other Camaro's on the road. There is zero drone with this setup and I'm really happy with the sound. Now I feel it completes the car and it should've came this way from GM.

Take a look at the video below and I'll be happy to answer any questions! I'll be recording more vids as well but the weather in DFW right now isn't ideal

Duuude...
Thinkin' about the same system for mine.. that sounds goood
Hell yea

Any clips of your exhaust? This is the setup I was considering and would love to hear it!
