Man I hope the first owner didn't put any goo in the tires like tire slime! I used to work at a bike shop and we would wanna kill you after a tire change. Every time we ask and every time the customer forgot that was in there.

To me, this all points to the mechanic. The Goodyear’s are not runflats. And even if they were, runflats don’t have automatically deploying ‘goo’ in them. They have stiffer sidewalks that can support the weight of the car for a limited number of miles.

Well the bright side is that you didn’t discover the patch on the track. Bummer about your track day. I broke my foot and have had to cancel my last two track days so I feel your pain. Hope to see you out there some time.

Correct. No ZL1 leaves the factory with runflats.

ZL1 coupe = GY F1 Supercar 3
ZL1 vert = GY F1 Supercar 3
ZL1 1LE = GY F1 Supercar 3R

Sucks to see a flat tire on a Z and hear about a missed track day... definitely a bad day

Why not get a new tire and hit the track Sunday?

RickyBobby, it’s not the mechanic. He could always tell me I hit something before I dropped off my car. I feel there’s no reason he would pull that kinda stuff.

Well guys, the good part is Tire Rack is delivering 4 Pilot Sport 4S to the shop tomorrow. I figure I’ll rock those so I can drive the car whenever. I’m starting to realize it’s never really above 60 and sunny much around here. I’ll rearrange the tires when Apexi finishes the ARC-8 19x12s in July.

Simraceway told me they have a waiting list for tomorrow so they moved me to Tuesday!

A friend had good prospective on the whole thing. He said “Be happy you’re OK. You have the money to fix what’s broken. Most people can’t pay an unforeseen $2000 bill”
