Second, this car is clearly a GT*. I think most here have agreed that the GT* is a drivers race with an SS, slight edge to the GT*. This run supports that idea. But as many of us have pointed out, most GTs are not GT* and should not be laying claim to this sort of time. Idaho’s car sounds like it is in the club and has this level of performance. Most GTs on dealer lots are not.

Third, it did take a prepared track to get it in under the 4.0 mark. Have to wonder how an SS on a similarly prepped track would do. Could be that it would also tick in just under 4.0
I did forget about the cars.com (how could I?) 11.9 sec 1/4 mile time. I knew I had seen it somewhere a while ago, but couldn't remember which outlet.

Interesting to me is that the C&D test was 3.8 sec 0-60 and 12.1@120 mph (corrected). Whereas the cars.com test was 3.99 sec 0-60 and 11.9@ 119 mph (corrected? Not sure). Slower to 60, but faster in the 1/4.

Yes, my car is an "infamous" GT*.

Never ending string of excuses, LOL.

It’s not even about the 1 run ....take all the runs for each car and look at them as a whole. The GT*11.83-12.1 from what 6 sources, 3 of them being independent reviewers. the SS 12.3-12.4 from every source?

I'll take Evan's run. I'll also take Darkhorse Jr's 11.7 Camaro run. Looks like you still have catching up to do then. Maybe the Coyote #4 can finally do it.

Hot Rod spent a whole day at a prepped track with a pro driver and did no better than 12.3. Cars.com went 11.9 on their third try.
I'm not saying that only blatant cheaters have gone 11s in a GT. I'm saying that Evans (who is a cheater) has countless times wrote many articles on how to cheat and he just so happened to run the fastest time in a GT after going thru all sorts of hoops to get one halfway across the country. That by itself raises suspicion to anyone with common sense.

And we threw out private results for the obvious reasons...that (Mustang) people tend to have "stock" cars that aren't exactly "stock" or they have bolt-ons that they conveniently forgot to mention or they've done some other modifications to give themselves an edge that may or may not have been mentioned.

Excuses? Haha, that's coming from the crowd that had an excuse for every loss dealt to them.

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, Cars.com run for the GT pp1 in drag mode was 0-60 in 3.99 sec. and there 1/4 mile was 11.98. Don’t let these guys fool you and say 3.9 and 11.9

I mean this sincerely. What have you run in your car?

I’m pushing back because I know what a stock SS will run in the hands of an amateur at the track. I’m not a drag racer and my first pass beat the Hot Rod time. Actually, any magazine time.

The SS has been out 3-1/2 years. 12.3 won’t even get you a spot on the Camaro6 fast list that has 30 entries. They aren’t all liers. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting to see how the GT* does in the real world...

So... Your say the SS is a 12.3 to 12.4 car gets laughed at. We aren’t new to this world ...like you appear

If that's the best you got then lol.
So you use the fact that they did 25 passes and the best they could do is 12.3 as the excuse? Yes I would expect the car to drop off after multiple passes in a short period of time but what happened in passes 1-5? The GT ran their best pass on the 3rd try. Why was no other publication able to get the car to run faster than 12:20s they couldn't because that is all she had.

Here is the fact that you folks keep missing. Every single review which involves the A10 GT and A8/10 SS the Mustang is faster. Now you want to argue trims and options have at it, but we usually compare the fastest optioned models when comparing vehicles.

I can't even begin to imagine how much of a NEWB you have to be to use Cars.com as a reference for anything performance vehicle related...

Go actually read the Hot Rod "test" for the SS and then you will understand why we are laughing at your comment.

We have already given you the GT* is faster. We have done it many times. What is your point? We are never NEVER going to see Evan or American Muscle YouTube runs as legit. You wouldn't see them as legit either. Besides our fastest fast list stock Camaro ran an 11.7. Are you going to except that as an official time?

You're missing the point. They ran 25 passes with a stock vehicle with no prep and no signs of overheating (looking at you, PP2)

Dont forget the PP1 and Bullitt going into limp mode after less than two laps during MT Car of the Year testing.
