C7 is over.

No me knows. But it could come out to spoil the GT 500 part whenever that happens

Suggested retail $21,328.00, I have seen some available as low as $17,915.52. LT5 controller kit and accessory drive system for about another $5K.
You're right, I totally forgot Chevy announced the LT5 crate engine at last year's SEMA show. It was showcased in a '73 Chevelle Laguna.

For a while I was skeptical about another hi-per Camaro model for the 6th gen, but now that it's official the C7 is over, GM still needs a max hp FE performance car to carry the torch and to compete directly against the new GT500. I now think we may see a 775 hp LT5 and DCT in the 6th gen because Ford extended the current S550 platform a few more years and GM may do the same for the Camaro. As for development and validation, I believe it's done and ready to go pending Ford's announcement of the official hp rating for the GT500. Just my .02.

Would really love to see an LT5 in the ZL1 this generation, but GM won't do it. Hopefully a shop will do a build.

That would be the logical choice, unless they use it for the Z06 mid-engine.

5th gen Camaro ended the platform production run with the Z/28... High hopes here for an LT5 or a high output hot-v 32v v8 twin turbo option.

Although with part of the LT5 production being hand built I'm afraid it might not be available....
