Haven't installed yet as I'm trying to find a countersunk punch to knock out the pins, because I know I'll smurf up the calipers if I try knocking those pins out with a regular punch.

So for now I'm dealing with the dust over chipped up calipers.
I just changed out my OEM pads to the Z26, for the caliper pin, I used the smallest one of these and it worked perfectly!

Thanks, I'll give them a try.
There was a link in a thread to the "Brembo" punch, but every time I checked it was out of stock.

I have the Z26 pads too. Definitely not as grabby as stock pads, but way less dust. The Z26 also squeal when heated up. So do the Z23s as a matter of fact. After a few "datalog" pulls and then some hard braking...they squeal when coming to a stop. The stock pads never squealed.

Do you use brake pad lube on the pads where it contacts the pistons and blue locktite on the bolt?

If you're asking "me". No. I don't use locktite and yes, I use the brake pad anti-squeak.

I tested all 3 pads in one day. Z26,Z23 and stock. I went out and did the same testing. punch it up to 70 and do some hard braking down to like 10 mph, rinse and repeat. after a few of those...the Z26 and Z23 pads squeaked when I slowed down to flip a u-turn and were squeaky into my neighborhood. Once cooled down (after driving about 5 mins) they were quiet again.

I did the same test with the stock pads....never squeaked once.

The Z23 pads even come with a rubberized backing to help reduce squeaking.

All that being said, I still use the Z26/Z23 due to less brake dust.

My stock fronts are squealing and I only have 450 miles on the car. I thought it was normal for the stock brakes?

They don't "have" to squeal. Mine almost never do (stock or Z26 compounds). It often comes down to the discs state of layer transfer, system temperature, and pad backing [i.e. damping]. Given the low miles on yours, I doubt they're bedded enough to draw any conclusion.

Nah. I went to the track(not the dragstrip, but a road course) with my stock pads. Lots of hard braking...to the point of fading..never squeaked.

My OE pads only squeak when the calipers are dirty. I give those a heavy spritzing when cleaning wheels, too, and it goes away.

I have had no issues with my OEM pads. I clean the rims and wheels very often. I am putting a set of Z26s on this weekend. Once I burnish them I will see if they squeak at all

Installed F/R yesterday...very little cussing on my part, particularly easy. The only point I had a little trouble was on the rears for some reason.

Ran them 60-20, 10 times, perfect test drive.

Suggestions: do turn the wheel on the fronts to expose more of the caliper, easier to get to the 13mm bolt on the backside. Also, get a tube of Caliper grease as a bit is included but you may need a dab more.
