I sat in a '19 ZL1 with no sunroof and with a helmet. I am 6'0 and I had to drop the seat some to make it work. I felt that the view to the front corners was acceptable. I tried the same thing in a '19 with a sunroof and I could not fit. Dropped the seat all the way down and still could not make it work. I would have preferred to have a sunroof, but it is a no go if I cant fit with a helmet. I made the order without one. |

I have a '17 without sunroof and I'm 6'2". Its tight with a helmet on so I'd definitely find one to try before getting the sunroof. I don't have the CF hood insert, but wish I did.

So an update on the helmet situation with the sunroof. I fit but I have less that a finger width between the roof and the helmet and that's if I settle down in the seat. Might try to get a lower profile helmet to help a little. Still it's good enough for the 1/4 which is where I will be needing it. Track day duties will probably stay with my modded MK7 GTI which is a blast to take on track!
