I just found this post after watching your video on YouTube earlier today. Thanks for posting, that was fun to watch. Made me miss my non-ACR Viper! I haven't had my ZL1 on the track yet, but a Gen V Viper is an absolute beast and a blast to drive on the track. It's fun plowing through traffic like they are standing still and keeping up with race cars and passing them on the straights!

Fun vid! Viper is such a beast and to me one of the best sounding cars ever.
Nice driving (obviously) but also a good example of how not to work a steering wheel. Be it 10-2 or 9-3 hands should stay in those positions so a driver doesnt have to ever guess where the centre is. This is especially important during any big, or successive corrections should a car really get out of shape. Doing same with one hand (which results from shuffling hands on a steering wheel) is hardly recommended. Here is an example of Nico Rosberg wheeling a Pcar at Silverstone (and obviously showing off a bit in the process). Note his hands do not move regardless how tight a corner is. https://youtu.be/7nEp8fHCGGU |

Jeff why not cage and go racing or find salvage and chop up?

Amazing video! Honestly you guys aren't dead even when you are accelerating hard down that one straight 80-140. You're pushing the air and hes riding in the draft and not making up any ground.

Andrew Aquitaine is crazy fast behind any wheel he gets behind. Track days are fun but racing is were you really learn. |

Still even top pros do the latter to learn how to get the most out of the car at a given venue. Incl intensive use of sims. It is all good and all bags of fun

![]() Sim is great: ive been on iRacing for a few years now and it is an excellent way to hone one's car control skills et al without any risks. Amongst many other benefits like practicing proper vision technique, braking, learning new venues, etc. Plus racing there is super fun, but very serious and time consuming as one needs to practice to be competitive. It really is a proper sim vs a game. And It really is directly transfarable to RL driving. When spring comes i have zero transition time to my real car. Zero cobwebs. Zero rust. Just get in and push. |
