Guys have been 10's with the stock TB as well. It's not worth running unless you modify the stock IM to make it work. The adapter defeats the purpose. Even then the gains are miniscule. It works well paired with the MSD however.

MSD and TB can be used with no tune, I drove at least 9 months with this, I I’d tune out the rear O2, but that had nothing to do with intake.

so would we all agree that the msd manifold hands down beats the stock manifold, ported or not.....(I'm thinking of changing)

in the end this will be an n/a build.....

I would not do a ported tb without a tune. The 95 unported with the msd can be done. But you will notice some things being different with how the car drives.

so why is the msd not better in every way, I'm seeing no loss in low end and only gains upstairs...based on the info around here and what's available on the web...
(I have a ported stock right now and a non ported 95 mm t/b) will be adding 1 7/8 headers and x pipe as well

Do a search on the threads I have started. All the info is there. Or check my FB page. All of my dyno work is backed up by track work on multiple cars.

my understanding from what I've seen is that the ported stock manifolds are a big improvement over stock, but they cant keep up upstairs with the msd and where they peak and fall off the msd keeps pulling. I figure with headers and the bigger throttle body you would benefit from a manifold like that, I am hoping not to lose too much downstairs and in all of the dyno posts I've seen around here including the ones from pray, the msd doesn't give up much if anything downstairs even though that was the original thought with the msd….. maybe I'm doing the wrong thing, I don't know... what am I missing
I'm figuring with a tune I should be golden...
especially since my next winters plan is cam and ported heads

You will lose 20+rw down low. The stock MSD never makes more peak power than the ported stock IM/TB, but it carries a lower number for longer. At the track it is worth half a tent to a tenth at best once ported and with a 95mm TB. Those are the facts with bolt ons.

Now, H/C my ported MSD/TB are worth almost 40rw over my ported stock stuff.

I port and sell both so I couldn't care less which one you go with. Just tasting what the dyno and track testing prove over and over again.

clearly I am not the expert...
but I have not seen one dyno that show the msd at a 20 hp deficit anywhere in the power.
like I said maybe am just missing that info somewhere
