Well it is 600+hp, and they are launching at about 26psi... I assume it's breaking at launch as this is the second axle broken.

It's building 26psi off the line on the stock converter?

I just mean you don't really see broken axles with the V8 guys on slicks and an auto unless the bolts back out, even on the big power cars.

Ok, I see what you were saying now. Thats good information to have, I actually was wondering if those stubs would swap over when I was looking at my LSD swap because at the time, I could have gotten the SS axles much cheaper.

Yeah, they are pulling a bunch of timing to build boost, but not break loose at the line. (If I remember correctly) We have seen stock SS axles break, (although rare, or because the right side bolts backed out) so I'm not overly surprised by that so much.

^^^^this. both broke without the car ever moving.




you would really be surprised what can be done with that stock converter it'll stall to around 4K with some power to it!

Yes, stock converter, and stock un-touched 8l45. i have no idea how the trans hasnt exploded yet LOL
