You only need to put a piece of carpet or plywood under the tires to keep them from drying out sitting on the concrete. Been working on cars for over 55 years I've never put any car up on blocks or hanging in the air over the winter.

The original idea comes from wwiivfan a member of the forum. As we have a plasma and a laser cutter in our workshop I did those by my self. Very helpful if you want to paint your wheels. Unfortunately I don’t use them in winter.

I just park my car for 3 months. Put a car cover over it, turn the lights off, and not worry about it.

I just back it in the garage and sta-bil the gas and about 40lbs of air. That’s it. It’s just a damn car and will never be worth what you paid for it. That doesn’t mean I don’t take care of it but my 30K car is in the garage while I drive my 70K cadillac through the snow and ice. Hummm, what’s wrong with that picture?

Yep, same here. Reminds me though to refill my mouse bait stations. Just put it away today, supposed to be really crappy all week and then highs in the 30s by the weekend. Gotta move soon.

I've seen a lot of people say they use dryer sheets. What is the purpose of this and does this make the car reek like Downy in the spring? I'm still enjoying the new car smell and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible.

dont happen to have a blueprint do you. No flat spotting is not a going to happen but my MPSS tires should not be stored under 20F or they will eventually crack so they will be stored inside. i was thinking of doing these but welded to some dollies

what do you think supports the weight of the car with the tires on it?

Mice don't like them, also top off the gas tank, temperature swings will condense moisture.

I just put mine away until next year this weekend as well. I have MRC too. I simply changed the oil. Topped off the gas tank with 93 (no stabil added). Increased the tire pressure to 46 psi (max rating for the OEM tires are 51 psi), cleaned her up inside and out, and walked away.

Sta-bil is cheap insurance that I have been using in my Camaro since 2010, but I hear many people like you who do OK without it.

I started using it, before I had a summer-only car, on yard equipment and snow blowers, to prevent carburetor problems. My gas can always has Sta-bil added, so all the tools are ready for storage without having to drain old gas. I just change the oil and top off the tanks with the always-treated gas.
