Makes sure you do all the prep set-up with the quick jacks as you need to air bleed the hydraulic system before use and be sure to buy the correct fluid for the unit. This is what I used.

I’m at the highest ride height with my Camaro so if you’re good at the lowest setting I should be golden. Thank you for that.

I’ll be setting up my quick jack later this week. I bought dexron ATF like the setup video on their site suggests. I’ve been watching the set up video on their site as well as YouTube videos from people who have purchased quick jacks in preparation for my setup.

My Camaro is at the body shop already getting the fender and be door replaced. Probably won’t be home for two or three weeks. I’ll be using the quick jack on the Hellcat his weekend (hopefully) to do the engine and diff fluid changes.

Looking forward to it !!

Thank you for the information!!

Anytime and glad to help, yes Youtube is awesome for how to videos. There are a dozen acceptable fluid types and you are good. Good luck!

#hijacked?

It's going to be awhile before the car gets fixed (probably a few weeks).
Thinking about something like this to laugh it up in the mean time?

Maybe some bandaids? https://www.amazon.com/Pieces-BandAi.../dp/9099000138

Sorry about the hijack dude. At least it keeps your thread on the top where it’s more likely to be seen.
Did you find a fender ? I thought I had a lead for ya on a fender on Instagram but the dude had already sold it.

Love tap at 5mph. Airbag did not deploy.

Cracked and scraped:
- Front bumper cover
- Driver's side front fender
- Driver's side headlight
- Front lip
- Hood looks misaligned with damaged fender but no damage - may be ok.

Q1: Are the ZL1 1LE fenders and hood identical to the regular ZL1 ? Any way to confirm part numbers?

Q2: What's the best place to obtain OEM parts?

Q3: Whats the best body shop in the SF Bay Area?

Thanks for the help!

Sorry to see this, OP. A-hole drivers are a dime a dozen in the Bay Area. Just a couple weeks back a driver fleeing the scene of an accident caused an articulated rig carrying dirt to flip over on 680 in Pleasanton, shutting down all southbound lanes. I see similar a-holery on a daily basis on my commute. It's awful. Even my SS 1LE is at B&S Hacienda getting a new rear bumper after an Enterprise employee made a right turn into my stationery vehicle. The shop was highly recommended but Enterprise's insurance is dragging ass so it's been gone two weeks now. Good luck getting yours fixed!

Yeah it's tough owning a nice car.

Let me know how B&S Hacienda goes, I'm considering Ariana Auto Body

I've never been there but the reviews look good, its close by and it seems they've worked on some really nice cars.

I kind of have this fear that if I take it to a body shop that isn't accustomed to getting really nice cars, they might get excited about mine and take it for joy rides. If there's a Lambo or Porsche next to mine, hopefully they're choose the exotic for their joy rides

I took my car to get an insurance/repair inspection. They quoted the whole repair at $6700 (total cost including my insurance deductible). Not bad, I expected it to be double that with labor and painting etc.

However, one caveat is this is an initial estimate. The adjuster was pretty thorough but if the car is later found to have any structural issues or damage to the bumper (the metal bumper behind the cover) then the price will need to be increased. Fine with me I'm only paying the deductible.

I made sure:
- All OEM parts
- New hood, fender, bumper cover, grills and aero.
- Nothing is being bondo'd or bent back to look new, its all getting newly replaced.
- I will definitely get receipts.

Nice !!!

Keep on top of the shop to make sure they are using OEM parts.

By the way, keep an eye on your deductible when you renew your insurance. Geico tried to rape me after my accident in April with the first Zl1 1LE I had.

Good luck dude. Keep us posted.

My car will be ready at the body shop tomorrow, then it’s going to the detailer to have the PPF applied to the door and fender.

The carbon hood insert is like $2500 all by itself, however mine was undamaged so that was a big cost savings.

In any case, I don't care what it ends up costing since the insurance is paying for it. My only concern is that only OEM parts are used. I verified on the paperwork that my agreement with the insurance company is that only OEM parts will be used. Whether or not the body shop tries to cheat is another story. I plan to request copies of receipts.
