I took a tape measure and checked. The Camaro front spoiler sits 2 inches higher than the charger scat pack.

This picture gives some perspective but I ALWAYS back into a spot so a tall curb won’t take the facia extension out.

True, there are some taller curbs. Luckily I haven't met them yet.

Congrats on the move. After dropping my GT on progressive springs I have to use caution but the performance improvement is worth the concern. Cheers! See you in the Twisty's.

Since then I have had 5 Mustangs, 3 Challengers and the Scat Pack Charger. The Charger was O.K. but the front was so low it would scrape on much of any incline or decline even when going slow and trying hard not to. Plus, I really missed a two door. I have always loved the looks of the Camaro. When I drove the 18, I knew what I wanted. The power and torque is awesome. Nothing lost there in getting rid of the Scat. Being so much lighter, the Camaro picks up speed noticeably faster. So, its great to finally get back in one after many years. Already ordered the front and rear ZL1 addon rock guards and will have them put on next week. Looking forward to being a part of the forum.

How does the Charg. stack up to the Cam. performance wise?

Having parked my last government issued one in 2016 I can tell you it doesn't, especially if the road has curves.

Government issues 6 bangers...not SRTs.

Nope. My last one was a 5.7 RT AWD issued to me by the Montana DOJ. Local SO that was the last one I worked at, has nothing but Hemi Chargers and Challengers.

The cars are similar when it comes to torque. In other words, both pull hard and put you back in the seat really well when you punch it. However, being so much lighter, you can tell the Camaro picks up speed faster. Also, the Camaro handles much better and it just feels tighter all around. The charger is a big car. As such, it is more of a cruiser than a sports car. The Camaro is a true sports car. So taking all things into consideration, the Camaro beats the Scat when it comes to all around performance.
