Traded my Charger for a Camaro!

Picked up a new Hyper Blue 2SS with the 8A. I love this car! I have only had one other Camaro. It was an 84 Z28 and was my first car back in 87. Since then I have had 5 Mustangs, 3 Challengers and the Scat Pack Charger. The Charger was O.K. but the front was so low it would scrape on much of any incline or decline even when going slow and trying hard not to. Plus, I really missed a two door. I have always loved the looks of the Camaro. When I drove the 18, I knew what I wanted. The power and torque is awesome. Nothing lost there in getting rid of the Scat. Being so much lighter, the Camaro picks up speed noticeably faster. So, its great to finally get back in one after many years. Already ordered the front and rear ZL1 addon rock guards and will have them put on next week. Looking forward to being a part of the forum.

Great Choice!!! Congrats.

I order the ZL1 mud guards a 1.5 years ago. There off the car now, not a good design in fasteners. Quality was low, I hope their 2nd design is better for you.

It’s a great car to mod and add power. Enjoy

Welcome aboard! I think you’ll agree the Camaro chassis is light years ahead of the Charger one. Lighter, stronger, better handling, etc. Enjoy!

You hit it on the head, the light weight is deceptive. When you mash the go-pedal, it squirts along pretty quickly.
