My insurance cost went down just a bit when I traded in the 2016 for the 2018, not sure why.
Are you included track usage in that MPG average?

In ~5k miles I'm averaging about 23mpg in the 1LE (based on tripometer divided by fuel added, not the onboard computer). I have done a fair bit of highway but unless I limit myself to 70-72mph it doesn't get good mileage there. At 70-72 it gets great fuel eco though.

Specifically Im betting the eLSD, magnetic shocks, and PTM stuff to be spendy if they need replacing. Other than those it shouldn't be too bad I bet.
The MR shocks are ~$370 each or so. Nothing crazy.

Not sure about the eLSD though. PTM is just tuning things.

No, I don't track it, but I have a pretty heavy foot. The majority of my driving is commuting to and from Atlanta and when I go on a road trip my average speed is somewhere between 80-90 depending on conditions and police.

Good to know that mag shocks are reasonable. No special computers or stuff to break for PTM?

I'm not an expert, but IIRC it changes eLSD modes (between 2 different ones), TCS and power delivery. All stuff that's already has computers. Those computers could go bad of course. I don't think TCS/etc computers fail that often. The eLSD would be the expensive bit if it failed.

Compared to my old Focus RS this car is "primitive" as far as driveline computers are concerned.. that's one of the reasons I didn't want to keep the RS forever

I'm getting 23ish mpg as well.
Dash claims closer to 24, but miles driven/gallons used is 23.
On some highway runs I've gotten much higher, but at the end of the day when I fill up it's 23 to 24.
