Bose system sub addition question

When adding a box with a 12inch driver. How to filter low end (40Hz) before the Bose amp so the low frequency signal doesn't make it to the Bose amp and speakers ?

Anyone found a way to do this with passive components ?

I just read the answer to this question on the ST website. It's digital from the infotainment system to the amp input. Which leads me to the next question. Anyone make a harness and DSP that works with the factory equipment and a sub box ?

Wish the Nav or Pac were out before i did my system...i used a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.3 connected to my Bose amp outputs....the NAV or PAC unit would have made things much easier and cleaner sounding..

Use song Cherry Twist on The Crystal Method's Vegas album to test your system.

Before adding a sub, the bass line is almost completely absent in the factory Bose system.

After, hold onto your hat

Thanks Techboy ! Love this forum and the information that can be found here.

Hey I noticed you posted the pin-out for the Bose thing in the trunk a couple years ago. Do you happen to have diagrams/pin-outs for the other connectors on this thing?

Here is an older thread with the info..note the incorrect pinout for the rear deck speaker...diagram is backwards for that speaker if you decide to use it
