Had the Phastek skip shift elimator on my ZL1 and it has worked perfect since day 1.

I've been doing the first to third for some time now and it works well, especially when you have this much power. It doesn't even sense it.

When your engine has 650 foot pounds of torque, who needs second gear?

A good tuner can take it out

Very true as long as your car is in for a tune anyway.

However if it's not, then compare a tune costing a few hundred dollars vs buying an adapter pigtail for less than $20.

As noted earlier, a quick double clutch will work, too. I found that easiest on my 2016 M6 SS.

The easiest thing I found in both my 5th gens as well as my 6th is to hand a $12 skip shift eliminator to the dealer tech at my first oil change and say, "Here. Install this while it's on the lift." Now I shift when I want. How I want.
