After reading and following this post I think I'm gonna get started modding my 2 cars. I wan them both in the mid 800s. The HC will obviously be cheaper and easier to get to that goal whereas the ZL1 will be a little more money and probably a little more time too. So at first I said I'd just do a pulley, tune, LTs and go from there. But now I'm thinking, why take baby steps when I can just go for the kill right away. So I think I'm gonna just do the Whipple 4.5 or the Procharger on the ZL1 with LTs. And definitely the Whipple 4.5 on the HC. I'm not completely sure exactly when I'm gonna put things in motion. But I'm gonna start talking with a few shops this week!! I'll keep you guys posted!!

Sounds good, start a thread on the ZL1 for sure. Not sure if they'll allow a HC thread on here though, maybe in off topic.

Only question is, why change out the blower on the HC? Seems the stock blower is adequate for about 800-900 RWHP and the 4.5L is more or less for over 1000 RWHP.

I could add a few snipets about the HC and not get in trouble

And yea the stock HC blower can support lots of power but that would require spinning it more than I feel comfortable with. And although mine has the updated blower (no worrying about the grinding issues with the 16-15s), I still would rather just swap it out. The Whipple 4.5 with a wagon wheel pulley starts off at the limits of the stock blower. Plus it's a Whipple 4.5, lol!! I'm doing like kttxz06 suggested earlier, just go for the kill right off the bat.

The more I read this thread the more I really feel like I'll just do the Procharger. If I get it to over 800 RWHP on pump gas then I think I'll be satisfied.

Definitely go with F1A94 if you want to be sure. You can always pulley up. However you can't always pulley down. I'd be very interested in a stock engine/Procharger/LT on pump gas setup.

Sounds good with the 4.5L Whipple, thing is huge. My friend has one on his Charger, I think he's around 1200 RWHP on kill.

I saw a guy on one of the FB pages who said he made 850 RWHP with just the blower (the one you mentioned) and a set of Kooks LTs on his 6th Gen ZL1. No other mods. And that is on 93 octane. So I'm hoping for around 800 RWHP on 93. We'll see!!

For 800 rwhp on pump gas the two current options are the Hellion TT kit or the ProCharger. The other options currently require methanol or race gas.

With the A10, 800 rwhp should be good for 9.8x and that would keep me happy for now.

Damn, I'd though that power level would be more mid 9's. Guess it depends on conditions and driver. I know myself, I'll never hit low 9's with me driving. I 'm too old and not as quick as these young guys.

Once the motor is built, we are shooting to beat Frostbite as I think he holds the fastest time at 9.1. But, I ain't gonna be driving it. lol. I got a 120lb Boyd Bumberra as my driver. Cheater mod I guess.

Likely it could be quicker, but this driver doesn't need to go any faster than 9.80s. I've been faster but I was younger then.

Heard this car trapped 136 making four digit power. Sorian must've made his tune so conservative he wanted your car to run like a well setup stock blower car, well done.
