GM has a great platform one of the best for the track, to bad in order to make that happen they had to have a backseat that will not fit 4 people, and a trunk opening so small that it limits the size of items that will fit. I guess that is what the back seat is for because people don't fit. That is why I drive a Dodge the Old out dated platform, I will be thinking of how large it is as I take it to the beach this weekend with the family. I could also take the Cutlass as it is as large as the Challenger.

Only good if you need that kind of room, downside is the dodge is a overweight big rig.

Dodge is big and 4100 LBS my Cutlass is big as well 3850 LBS I have no issue with the size that is what I like about it, I would not want it lighter if that was going to make it smaller. The people that get the Challenger get it because of it's size and are not complaining about weight.

The only way the challenger or the charger could be 4100 lbs it would have to be a V6, the V6 Camaro is 3400 lbs. What year is your cutlass at 3850 lbs. A lot of people very well could be getting the Dodge cars for the size, and they probably don't know the weight . They are not concerned about how nice and nimble light weight cars are to drive, park, work on etc.

Challenger weight is 4140 LBS not sure why you think it is more?

My Cutlass is a 1980 Olds 6.6L 4sp auto 2004R 3:73

There was a redesign in 2011 so that may account for the extra weight but my year Challenger is 4100 LBS and I have the 5.7 L and with the Cutlass I had it weighed on a scale to get it's weight.

The Challenger is a great car, just think how much better it would be in the 3700 lb range like the Mustang and the Camaro.
